Hey, at least it looks like a proper board game, without the 'everyone moves with the same piece' modern mario party bs or the eternal round of ludcriousness that is smash tour. If it means i can play an old school mario party(or life?) with Isabelle, K.K, and all the others, ill take it. Also, four swords 2 and new M&L RPG. Its not all that bad...View attachment 56986
NOBODY ASKED FOR THIS

It's just frustrating that this is how they've chosen to use development time. You know? I wasn't mad with this before, since I thought it was just a side-team building AC Amiibo Festival, not the main AC team, but the Nintendo Tree House Live today had one of the lead developers of Animal Crossing: New Leaf as a special guest to talk about the development of the new party game. So clearly at least some of the core AC team is working on Amiibo Festival.Hey, at least it looks like a proper board game, without the 'everyone moves with the same piece' modern mario party bs or the eternal round of ludcriousness that is smash tour. Amiibo festival is apparently going to be free to download, and only cost as much as an amiibo to play. That sounds like an excellent decision to help market amiibo!... is what i would say if i didnt already know how excruciating these are going to be to get. *sigh*It's just frustrating that this is how they've chosen to use development time. The AC team helping with Splatoon and now this.. I'm actually genuinely worried we may not see AC:U at E3 next year... Maybe they're gonna wait to release it on the NX to help with sales..
Despite what I've said, there's no doubt this'll be a fun party game. Although the gameplay clearly isn't groundbreaking or very monumentous, the way it stays so true to the original series and it's Animal Crossing-style (laid back, relaxed, slow-paced) made me smile.
EDIT for double post:
Just watched the Happy Home Designer gameplay trailer and it looks pretty dang awesome. Always loved making the interiors and exteriors of my town look nice, and this game totally fleshes that feature out. Also, look at all those new players in the video! New hairs, faces.. It looks like you can even change your skin color! :D
I get to play as K.K Slider at least.Amiibo festival is apparently going to be free to download, and only cost as much as an amiibo to play. And honestly, with the average playtime of AC, I'd be surprised if they weren't pushing AC:U back on purpose to extend New Leaf's life for 3 years instead of 2. It would at least explain the sudden influx of spinoffs.
And as a big player of the old Mario Parties (up to 7. 8 was meh, 9/10 were outright disappointing, and we dont talk about Island Tour), I am legitimately excited for Amiibo Festival. But yeah, I see where the disappointment comes from. At least we still have Directs every few months to look forward to.
She is much much worse imo.
This dog is better imo
Does K.K. Slider have pseudo-Soviet propaganda supporting him? No?She is much much worse imo.
I'll go grab the Anchor Tea the Hedgehog PostersOh boy here comes another Splatoon War. This time between AnchorTea and Myed.
I was wondering that. I am still new to smashboards, could you set that up for me man, would greatly appreciate that. By the way Anchor nice bowling ball pressure with zee, loved it.Happy Birthday AusGremlinBoy! Also, those villager tourneys probably warrant their own threads now that I think about it.
but i got quoted I must know nowDouble Post
I wont have the game for another month tho. That said, I do suppose the first Splatoon War also got held off for a month or two, so I suppose its possible.Oh boy here comes another Splatoon War. This time between AnchorTea and Myed.
I am the Dynamo King of the Dynamo Roller!Oh shoot, A wild Anchor Tea has joined my room.
Edit: D/c 'd for some reason.
Meh. You keep splattering me from an unnatural BS distance with your Duel Squelcher, so I guess we're equal. My team is so bad tbh. Three times I had to move so that the other square isn't inked to death.
Edit: Stop crowding in one freaking place and stop playing conqueror, defend your base. Also, I hate you @ AnchorTea
Edit: Playing in ranked from now. This is just bad.
*sits in corner crying without money or villager amiibo*Apparently Villager amiibo are in stock on Amazon...
I don't know whether to trust it or not. They haven't been in stock since they came out.
Did Nintendo restock it or something?
