Inui do you realize I didn't make nearly as much as I should have in Melee, yet you're HIGHLY against me getting money in the only talent that I have. Things like large entrancee fees helps me out a LOT.

Although I must say, it would be much better to hold these on separate days, like a Friday or Sunday.


Velocity please try to make this on Sunday (or Friday), that would benefit us all more.

I don't have anything against you making money. I was merely telling Chibo that you and Velocity will be the only ones benefitting from the higher entrance fee and that he will not, yet he praised it as a plus.

I'm pretty sure that he is aware hosting his event on another day would be better. The actual intent, given the information from the backroom I heard about, is to hurt Brawl tournaments by hosting several events on the same day.

M2k and velocity heard Bum and PC were teaming at our tourn, inui. I wouldn't want my undefeated edge to suddenly become dull, either. Oh well. /shrug.

If The Grid is still at the place I think this is at then I'll be accepting MM's through The Grid.

I was going to travel to play PC and BUM but then again driving 20 minutes with a cheaper entrance fee over driving an Hour to Jersey, a Place that just makes you feel horrible and gives you chills as soon as you cross the border.

But I'm still undecided.


Edit: Also, it hurts each tournament when people come into different threads and start argueing their side of the point by constantly posting the same thing over and over again. People will start hating you for posting so much Inui and will start to move to this tourny instead of Montages. Just let people go where they want to go.

Btw I agree with M2k this would be awesome if it was Friday or Sunday. That way you could go to both ^_^. Either way it's only smash. It's not like you're going to lose sleep over the fact that you can only go to one tournament with half the turnout.

We should turn this into an election Process. Dmbrandon will be given one post to why people should come to his tournament and Velocity should post right after it and make it as compelling and award winning as possible. ^_^

Hotel venue > other venues. We also have huge TVs.

But hey, this one is closer to you, so you might as well go to it if you don't want to drive farther.

while hotel venues are NORMALLY better, you're venue is actually quite smaller. It's smaller than many lan centers I've seen (haven't seen velocitys). the only things good about ur venue is the wendys and the outside area to chill.

That's because I don't need the Windsor Room yet, which is triple the size of the Garden Room downstairs.

I could use the Windsor Room, but there's no point unless I'm expecting at least 100 people.

Also, if you don't count our large, lagless TVs as a good thing, then feel free to bring tiny crappy TVs that are usually at tournaments instead.

Unless Kashif finds a ride that isn't Lord Knight, he's coming to Montage's event. Lord Knight is hosting a Melty Blood tournament at my hotel on the same day, so there's a 0% chance of him attending any other event. Kashif agreed to team with me at Montage's event and said he was coming. If he goes back on that...

What a waste, we need awesome TVs like that for Melee. In Brawl you need a good TV like you need a good controller. i.e. You don't.

True, the Magus TV is ****ing PERFECT. Magus, what kind of TV is it? And what is the spec that matters when it comes to lag? I'm trying to buy one, I don't care how expensive it is so long as it's cheap.

lol, I meant that you could also use OUR TVs for Melee if you wanted to given that I have access to about 100 at any given time, but Magus's TV is indeed h4x.

Velocity, why can't you make this on Friday or Sunday? It would benefit everyone more because you'd get a lot of people going to Montage's event to come to your event, too.

The only thing I can come up with is that you're actually purposely trying to hurt Montage's event.

i dont hate anyone i didnt meet yet. inui, i hate cuz he acts like hes the sh*t and that he is better than ppl he lost to. i thought, for a moment, that he might be a decent person when he shook my hand and then he goes on smashboards and says that he lost because of stupid johns. he played WAY more ppl than i have and he has WAY more experience than i do but i think his pride got hurt when he lost to some scrub at a scrub tourney that he was sure him and velocity would take 1st and 2nd, since he was askin velocity to split wit him at the beginning of the tourney.

In his position, don't you think that would sting? He saw midtier, and underestimated. He payed for it. I'm sure if you can someone how manage another win, his opinion of you will skyrocket. But, don't get hasty when you play him, he's gonna come to win.
