I recently decided to do something against the predictability in my Fox game .
So i started this thread to discuss the variety in Fox' approaches and his ledgegame.
Of course I know about basic stuff and about some approaches but it seems that this is
to less for being not predictable.

This can help not only me, but also many other ppl tryin' to take their Fox on a higher level.
So please help and list/discuss about approaches you know and of whom you think they're good.

Some examples are maybe :

Ledgegame -> jump and illusion, shine turnaround bair
Approach -> shine turnaround bair, dash back so fox turns arround slow and then WD forward

Ledge jumping into d-air will get you f-smashed by any decent player..
Usually I stall and use my invincibilty frames until my opponent makes a mistake and creates an opening.

A good player will know all your options and counter them, so you have to trick them.

I usually mix it up between these two its fun.

ledgegame
1. Drop, Jump, wall jump ledge, then illusion to the opponent.
or
2. Drop, Jump, wall jump ledge, fake illusion, grab ledge and if there is and opening go for it :)

i see mew2king use from the ledge:

ledge-wavedash up into a usmash.

seems to work if they mess up their spacing or dont expect it. but dairing from ledge into a waveshine combo is very effecitve on most as well.

This is such a satisfying ko on Marth's dtilting the edge against fox. :) You can do it almost under full invincibility if you ledgewavedash soon enough.

I don't know about the ledgehop dair from the edge. THis has to be used only when their spacing is messed up. Smart players will just stand out of your range at the edge then forward smash you. Or, wd back -> fsmash (then you have no double jump and you're screwed in a lot of situations).

and smart players don't ledgehop drill kicks when they can be forward smashed out of it.

you can do edge wavedash>usmash w/ full invincibility.

Do a dair from the ledge every single time. That's what I do.

It's important to keep in mind that ATTACKING is not the same as approaching. You approach to create an opening, or to exploit an opening, or to just ignore whatever they're doing and hit them aka trying to do something unexpected (yea right XD).

lol Azen is the one who invented the ledge WD into up smash i merely copied him, I'd rather ledge WD into shine or dash attack or something usually but I like copying Azen cuz his stuff is funny and works well.
lol, i saw you telling dav3 about it at evoeast, so i thought it was your technique, ha, my bad

It's the best when they're at 100+% charging a fsmash, and you upsmash under invincibility for the win. :D

Ledgedashing perfectly is hard. I've started doing it a lot anyway because it's often my best bet for getting back on the stage, but I still SD sometimes.

But I don't care. I do lots of stupid crap that makes me SD sometimes. But I SD less and less every day and eventually won't at all, and I'll be able to do all my stupid flashy purple fox stuff that makes the game fun.

At this point I'm almost afraid to WD-->Usmash because I try to WD on the stage with Ganon and I die a lot. I don't want it to cost me in tournaments like it has with Ganon.

I always drill kick off the edge, but just yesterday this cost me a match against Samus.
