Buzz said when it became a common tactic, not when it was first discovered. It took a long time for Melee players to figure out how everyone was playing it a few months ago.

But this comes back to when ATs were discovered in the first place. Sure we took a while to incorporate wavedashing and the like into our game but in brawl there is few advanced techniques, and most of them don't even really help. ooooooh reverse aerial rush, an extra hit guys, I can't even follow up with anything cause combos don't exist. The point is that ATs help define the metagame, melee's went so much higher because of all the stuff we found pretty early, even though it took a while to incorporate. Brawl only has, what? Auto cancelling, RAR, and stupid chaingrabs that wins matches.

Some characters can do that little DLX hit-cancel (god that name needs to change), and all characters can do a boost smash, though it only benefits some.

Brawl's AT game will come from glitches, that's all I know.

I've been around. I've been keeping up with the Utah happenings. I just haven't been posting because I've been busy with final projects this past week. The last thing to deal with finals for me will be tomorrow, so I'll most likely be at the tournament.

And is the Utah Thread really the place to be discussing how Brawl is good or bad?

I may show up, I may not. I mean, hey, Brawl Singles ain't going to be there. Personally, I'd like to run it on the side, but you and FTS would most likely not be willing. It'd be my last tourney for two years, so that's simply why I'd like there to be Brawl singles XD

I can always do MMs though, if you're willing to leaven on TV for that open for me.

I just found out that some DUMB@SS (I don't usual swear, let alone censor-dodge, but I'm pissed) at the tournament used two golden hammers on the two remaining challenges that I need to do in Brawl (I found this out after accomplishing one of those tasks without it going to the challenges screen). I was going to complete all challenges without the use of any hammers, but now, it's a little too late for that (if it wasn't for this, all I need to do now is to get all stickers)! D@mn it, people! When someone is nice enough to lend their Wii to use at the tournament, don't go messing around with their stuff (e.g. saving snapshots, changing their My Music preference, USING THEIR GOLDEN HAMMERS [I've seen all of these things happen in the past TWO tournaments...]). I wonder if whomever did this is man enough to come forth and admit it.
And not only that, but I'm also pissed at something else. I wasn't going to say anything about this, but since I'm already upset, I'm going to say it. When some of the Mexican Brigade and some others wanted to play Melee using my Wii, they just decided to take out my Brawl disc without even asking for my permission. Then they go rummaging through my laptop bag to try to find the motion sensor bar for my Wii (and then not even courteous enough to zip up the bag when they didn't find anything; I guess I'm just expecting too much from someone that is already looking through people's stuff without asking).

I can assure you it wasn't me. I've got respect for people and don't do random stuff. Saving replays and snapshots is forgivable, but the whole golden hammer thing is rather a nuisance. And rummaging through other people's stuff. That's why I keep a tab on all my things. An am a freakin' ******* about people touching my stuff without permission. Only thing I did that tourney was hide Goji's wallet, which was returned soon after, in full.

Thats fvcked up man, but ya i know what you mean. At one of the tourneys Yamer and I went to, Yamer brought his AR memory card and his game cube and someone was nice enough to break the Ar thing in half for us. It must be a Utah thing because I've never really seen it happen anywhere else.
