the only circle jerk here is the anti-melee circle jerk and frankly it's annoying as ****

more like melee is ****ing lazy and this is why its a dead game. probably also why so many of you cant play brawl at all/on a first grade level

Seriously guys, being ******* and pretending like you're cool doesn't help the scene grow at all. It's hard to set up tourneys, smashfests, etc when everyone is constantly either being a douchebag or getting mad salty. Just take your conflictions to PMs, or better yet, just stop altogether. Just because you can hide behind your computer and think you're cool calling people out or harping on people doesn't mean you should. Who cares if people should take what you're saying seriously or not, who cares if you think people are overreacting to 'things said on the internet' or whatever, it doesn't mean you have to be ****s and cause conflict all the time.

I've tolerated it for quite some time and done my best to ignore it, but some of you just don't know when to stop and its starting to get really annoying. Believe me when I say this, if those of you who are making this thread toxic don't start to cool it, I will make it my personal goal to see you cant come to anything I run. Period. And trust me, I have quite some awesome stuff brewing for next year, ESPECIALLY when Smash 4 comes out, like sponsors and pot bonuses, and don't think for one second that I wont pull the trigger and ban people from attending.

And to all you who are thinking to yourselves 'lol stop taking things on the internet so seriously', stop acting like god damn children and grow up. Not only do you make yourself look like an ***hole, but you're starting to make the whole scene look bad, and I WILL NOT let you four year olds continue to stroke your ***** and think you're above everyone, because you're not. I'm sick and tired of looking at this thread and seeing nothing but flame wars, it needs to stop. I've waited around hoping it would die down on its own, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. If no one can recognize that enough is enough, then you bet your *** Ill step in, and I wont be nice about it. I know I'm a lax guy who usually is pretty carefree, but I'm REALLY tired of you guys who are doing this (and you know who you guys are).

So one more time, please, stop. It's not funny, it's just stupid.

x if you want your money match come to the kafe. i don't have 20 bucks on me right now, but i will in the future. i started a pretty sick job on monday, full time. pay is dope and i get as much overtime as i want. we can do 5 dollars at the kafe or if you wanna hold off for your big pay day you can wait until I've got some more spending money. should be easy money for you

mvp and jekyll are both cool. they were fun as **** to play with (so was mvp's friend nate but I don't think he posts). let's try not to chase these guys out of the community before they even meet most of us.

new melee players and the guys that have posted in the past 2/3 months but still haven't been seen (by me at least), don't miss the tournament that's headlined in the thread. I would consider the kafe tournies "core" to what little utah scene is left. pc i really hope to see you there. it's been too long since i've played you, and seeing as how you are my best practice, i'd love to get some matches with you. you also have an awesome attitude and are just in general very enjoyable company.

Sorry guys, I won't be able to make the Kafe tourney; I have to fly home that weekend. I'll try and make everything else, though. I'll also try and invite anyone in Provo over to my place to play Melee once I get over this cold I've had, if you guys don't mind sitting on a floor.

Also, DeathKingSuarez, that's cool that you work at Banzai. I'll be there with my friends. I'll join the Brawl tournament if attendance is low.

He doesn't "work at Banzai". He just volunteers to run the gaming room every year so that he can get into the convention without actually paying the convention entry fee and also get free rooming in the hotel rooms for staff. And Banzai always gets a ton of randoms that want to enter the tournament, or it never has low attendance. If anything, the entry cap (which is placed since a very limited amount of time is given for the event) is always met very quickly, with a bunch of people not being able to get in even if they were there shortly after preregistration starts.

I'm familiar as to how the volunteer system works at cons. I've actually done it many times. I still call it "working at" the con, although I guess you're right that's not technically correct. Still, I knew what he meant.

Still, good to know about the typical attendance. Last random con tourney I entered I got 3rd, and anyone who has played me in Brawl knows that's a travesty haha. Guess I won't waste my money.
