My statement had nothing to do with you or the smashfest. I was referring to my evening non-smash plans. Then, I was talking about the smashfest that went on today 3 PM. Your comment had nothing to do with either.

Your Rachel is awesome, I just noticed a couple things. You might want to mix up your wake-up block more, as nearly every 5C (overhead chop) I did hit. Also, you only teched out of my bang drop EX like once. Address those two things and I'm pretty sure I'm dead in the water against you.

I kept forgetting B+C is throw, so I had issues with throw breaks.
And yeah, I don't face Bangs so it took awhile for me to learn how to block it. I keep forgetting that overhead, but now I had the chance to learn from it. Bang's counter/super armor throws me off at times too.

I admit, it was really hard for me to take back some rounds after you were on a roll.

Yes, those two issues are things that I need to remember. Thanks for the games.
And nice Bang. It was nice and aggressive with a lot of mixups.

I don't know what advice I can give you on facing Rachel. A lot of her combos can just string well together.
All you can do is gain experience and learn to block some of her tricky mixups.

Mainly because I fell away from SMYN when the roster was announced. Things came up, I had more school and work, and fell away from Smash altogether. Then I came into the competitive scene about a year ago, but I don't browse anything but the regional zones for tournies and smashfests.

Although, I would love to come back on for an episode. You know, tell my tale of how I went from "colbusman, Smash newbie who once followed the Brawl boards every day, even having his own stickied thread on the Dojo updates" to "lanky_gunner, ranked on the Utah PR with the badass tattoo and ear piercings". Plus, I haven't talked to Youko or Panda in forever, and I would love to do an episode again, like it once was...

The good old days....

But "hopefully" they won't schedule me, what with me saying "I have a concert Monday night so don't work me, but try to fit me in the morning, cause I need money...BAD!" If I do work though, what I probably would do is between work and the concert, swing by for an hour or two, chat, play smash, and stuff. I would like to meet the infamous Buzz Saw in person regardless. But let's all pray I don't have to, so I can spend more time smashing with you guys.

So anyway...my birthday is the 26th. I'm thinking about having a huge weekend bash. Not like a smashfest, but a gamefest. I will set aside a few things in my basement, like my drum set, and have a ton of room to have tons of things going on. I would like to have you guys bring any games, and I mean any. Halo, Smash Bros, TF2, Warcraft, Soul Calibur, Street Fighter, anything multiplayer, and we just game it up from Friday afternoon all the way into Saturday night, when I officially turn 20.

This is just a starting idea, but tell me if you like it. We could have like two Wii's for Smash Bros, two 360's for other games, and like a LAN set up if we want to play computer games. Maybe we'll even have a contest of who can stay up the longest, winner gets like a 2-liter of soda or something.

Everyone is welcome to come. If you can't come to a smashfest, then just say you're going to a birthday party of one of your friends. Maybe then you can go *coughFinalcough*. So keep the weekend of the 26th open. No tournies, no family outings, no nothing! If you have friends or GF's you dont' want to leave hangin or just want to play games, then they can come as well.

More details will follow once I get a good idea about how this is going to play out and I get a good idea of who can come. No gifts are required. I don't want anything (unless you all pitched in for some new cymbals for my set, but they're expensive, and I don't think you guys would anyway), although if you must buy me a gift, then I figure why not?

TL;DR - Big birthday game bash the weekend of the 26th. Leave it open!
