True.

1 Can you elaborate on this a little? Because I don't see it happening.

2 Just like how camping had no evidence on Hyrule before.

3 To stall obviously.

1 Feel like this has runs its course now but I'll elaborate since you asked. I mean if pika is upb'ing between 2 spots, go to the spot he's not at, and from there go to the spot he is at. When he tries to up-b he will have to go below you, above you, or through you. Then you have the chance to intercept him during his up-b if you guess correctly or he reads you incorrectly. In the cases you listed, you could put yourself on the second platform when pika is on the tent, approach carefully and if he up-b's then throw an aerial and hope you picked right. Eventually you'll land a hit. On dreamland can't pikachu up-b onto a ledge from almost anywhere on the stage at anytime? Seems like a fault of pika's up-b, not the stage to me.

2 Not sure what you mean here. No evidence now means no issue now. If evidence arises and people agree its an issue then we deal with it.

3 As SK said, stalling gains no advantage. You can't time anyone out, and in fact only run the risk of getting dq'd by the TO depending on who it is. You are not doing any damage and yet are running the risk of getting damage, its a no win. You can't tie in smash. When people start forcing ties, then we'll talk.

Oh and kys, I'm no expert in chess, but I have some decent experience. Reborn is legit good if he wants to chime in. In smash you have only one character, but he has many, many options. In chess you have many characters, but all have very few options. The fact that there are multiple pieces doesn't mean there are tons more possibilities. I would bet that smash has more overall possibilities--for example I bet the same game of chess has been played twice at some point in time. I highly doubt the same game of smash down to every frame has ever or will ever be duplicated. Mentioning this more to comment on your notion of chess than anything to do with the current debate lol

Edit: Han Solo you should post the links to videos in the first post as well, easier to find.

I think its also pretty fair to say that every possible area on a chess board is used at least once per game, but how often does a smash match cover every inch of the map?

As important as good spacing is in smash imagine how important it is in chess

But you don't gain anything by stalling. You can't time people out because we don't use timers, and Pikachu has no good projectiles to rack up damage with. I don't see why somebody would try to stall, and he'd be just giving himself opportunities to **** up and get punished with no reward.
"It is recommended a 8/10 minute time limit is put in place for all matches, especially Hyrule. This may be difficult to enforce."

Taken from BR ruleset.

So if timers are can be enforced at a tournament, then we can do this just fine. All you need to do is get a lead and just be a *** lol.

I have never heard of timers being used anywhere :C

I guess if we start using them that could be a problem, but right now... we don't really use timers
