Uploading TIO File during tournament

This is a suggestion mostly for TOs that host large tournaments with live streams. I am using the assumption that most TOs use TIO.

Anyways the goal of this idea is to cut down on spam and misinformation in live stream chat as well as to give the TO an easy means to inform all the curious fans of results in a simple timely manner. The idea itself is simple, periodically save you current TIO file and upload it to some free file hosting website, publicize the link and allow for people to check whatever results they may be interested in themselves.

Hopefully this would alleviate the problem of people spamming stuff like "OMG HOW IS M2K DOING?" which are always followed by some non-braindead person saying "It's first round pools ****** of course he's doing fine". It would also allow for people to see results which are not on live stream.

I realize that TOs are really busy. This is why I feel like this is the easiest way for TOs to provide solid non-bull**** information to people without disrupting other stuff.

I'm going to list potential sites for doing this, if you have a better idea suggest it and i'll add it to this post.

Candidate Sites:

Dropbox
https://www.dropbox.com/
This site would be convenient because you could simply just create your tio file in your dropbox, then all you would have to do is hit save every now and then and it'll automatically be updated on the website. This would be ideal except for that I don't know how well the site works for sharing files with a large number of people.

File Factory
http://www.filefactory.com/
Don't know much about this. It was the second result in google when writing "free file hosting". It looks like you can upload files without an account. The downside with this is you'd have to always upload new versions and provide the new corresponding link.

I imagine most tournament organizers want their tio files personal and have the official results for themselves to create a thread for. This would create a lot of unofficial results threads that would just get locked anyway. Plus the streamers can wait a day or two for information, they got to see matches LIVE on stream.

tio have the ability to do live update on the bracket. So, if you have internet then you can make the bracket do live update by itself. Ask Neal about it

Lucky and Mango survive one "Baysian" duo, now they'll have to defeat another to get to the finals.

Lucky and Mango take on Tang and SilentSpectre for the right to go to the finals. The continuation rule is (unfortunately) in effect, which means Lucky and Mango go into the match already trailing 2-0. They need to win five out of seven rounds to get to the finals, while Tang and SilentSpectre need to win just three times.

I like this as well.

As for the personal idea thingy, you can just create the results thread DURING THE TOURNAMENT and post there.

I do it in the main thread myself (I post bracket/pool images instead of the tio file though. Which you can do by right clicking the bracket/pool then click Save image...)
