I'm saying all of this b/c I know a Marth player who could be Tier 2 if he got to PR match.

Yeah you're right SleepyK. The tournies should be the deciding factor.

I'm not trying to start arguments or make waves. Torg doesn't have a SWF acct so he can't speak for himself. However, the people who have played him know how good he is.

Again I don't want anyone pissed b/c they think I'm starting crap. It's my honest opinion and we all know how worthless that is. But Midsouth does ranking matches and those guys turned out okay. <3

i understand what ur saying tsunami about teir 2 and three ,but the same thing works for top ten .so i say just leave it alone..try not to care about the rankings and just have fun and win tourny's...even if they were to change the entire list right now there will always be someone there waiting to criticise it..so..lets just play smash

I think these power ranking are pretty accurate.

If anything it will persuade more GA smashers to travel and place well in large GA tourneys rather than just saying "well I beat this guy at some other guy's crib many times" etc.


and theres something about a ganon being first that makes me have a bad taste in my mouth.. where are the top tiers at? lol

Read carefully, sir.

In response to the question about PR matches:
I won't consider them at all. The outcome of a single 2/3 or 3/5 match isn't nearly enough to "prove" you're better than someone. The fact that you can beat an individual in a tournament-style set, is great, but doesn't mean that you can beat them consistently or outplace them in tournaments.

BECAUSE the GA power rankings system is based upon tournament placings, not who you beat/lose to or MMs, its my recommendation that you all just

CHILL

Cause in truth, the rankings don't mean jack. Its a list, nothing more.

If you think you're "good enough" to be top 10, prove it. Place consistently higher at tournaments. Beat top ranked people, over and over.
And at the end of the day, you too, might get to have your name typed up by josh in a post at the top of a list on SWF.

But in all seriousness, lets all quit *****ing and start stepping it up, let your actions speak for you, let your record prove your worth.

@The Omega thing - Yeah I had copied Tier 3 from Wes' thread and forgot to remove him. He's off now (sorry dude if you're reading this, but I havn't seen you since.... SoD1 or 2 O.o)

Sorry if I came off as complaining to anyone. (Although it is pretty obvious that I wasn't) I also was not criticizing the list. Nothing needs to be changed atm, but I was just giving a suggestion. NOTHING MORE

Bearsarescary: If you are the DK I saw @ G4S4 you are pretty impressive. Keep repping the DK.

TRC: Hope everything comes out alright in that class. I h8 public speaking with a passion. >:(

i miss chad and NTSC ganondorf like their's no tomorrow. i would say should come see me, but i wouldn't if i were in your shoes, there's no good cheeseburgers and ganon ****ing sucks, stay in america as long as you can, with the occasional run to mexico.
