I guess if you count the day they informed us there would be daily updates as the first update, but I know that the first update wasn't "The Musician".

I doubt we'll get anything special. I heard that the creator of Metal Gear's birthday was not too long ago and people were speculating that there would be a Snake update, but sure enough...no Snake update. Why? Because he's probably an unlockable character and they don't want to reveal too much. At the most, there might be a Game Mode update or something. But at the same time, I'm also hoping for a new character but I doubt it will happen.

To be honest, nothing special. It would be so much like Sakurai to give us a boring update in an important date, and then give us another This World when we're not looking .

Yeah I have to agree. He might do something big but I don't think so. If he does it will be a big newcomer but not a huge newcomer. Big being someone like Ridley or Olimar, huge being another third party.

i got the impression that there was no ranking for "Anyone" mode, but that there would be ranking and stats for "Friend" mode.

namely, in "Friend" mode the individual names do come up, allowing for stat tracking.
