close. do you want DLC of RWBY or no? I imagine it could be an unpopular opinion either way, at least on smashboards, since nobody else seems to have brought it up.RWBY DLC.
Am I doing this right?
This is a thread for people to vent whatever opinion they want without any repercussion. At this point I can't even tell what is an unpopular opinion anymore.
Well their cool designs help, but...At this point I can't even tell what is an unpopular opinion anymore. Do people generally want more FE characters, or do they not? It's impossible to tell.
Anyway, I've recently realized something about myself that definitely qualifies as an "unpopular opinion", though I wasn't quite aware of it until recently. I don't like traditionally cool or traditionally cute characters. I like weird characters--those who are somewhere in between "badass" and "adorable", usually more on the goofy side, but sometimes with no real humorous elements to them at all. I like King K Rool, the Koopalings, Alph, Mega Man, Diddy Kong, Wario, King Dedede, Donkey Kong, Wolf, Ridley...those characters with generally strange, and therefore unique, designs. My most wanted characters are Rayman and Dixie Kong, predictably.
Characters designed primarily to be "badass" like FE, Cloud, Shulk, Ryu, Zero Suit Samus, Sheik, Ken, Snake...just don't do it for me! It's easy to make a character who acts cool, y'know? I guess there are some exceptions like Simon Belmont, but I like him mainly because of the AVGN and his Western-inspired design. The overly cute characters don't really tickle my fancy either--Kirby, Isabelle, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, I mean I like these characters but not for the reason I'm supposed to like them. If that makes sense. I like them for their peculiarities and not because "OMG ISABELLE IS ADORABLE!". That happy middle ground where Ivysaur, Olimar, and Larry Koopa lie...that's my sweetspot.
Anyway I'm not sure if I was able to communicate that well. I've always questioned why these characters that ALL OF MY FRIENDS love such as Ike and Snake just don't appeal to me, and now I think I get it. I just wish I knew why I'm like this, seeing as most character designs tend to hug one extreme, it's quite a burdensome preference to take sometimes!
I'm in a sort of similar vein, although it definitely leans more against cute characters than cool. I couldn't care any less about a character that's got a cute design and often times actively annoyed by them because of it. I completely dislike Pikachu and Pichu because of it (well that and because of how much those characters get shoved into my face because of how big they are) and the only real exceptions are characters who have something cool about them that overshadows the cuteness. Like Kirby's a pretty awesome character in my eyes because of the insanity that is the stuff he does in his games, dude's a monster. At this point I can't even tell what is an unpopular opinion anymore. Do people generally want more FE characters, or do they not? It's impossible to tell.

High key would love RWBY DLC. I’ll let my bias run free and say I’d want Neo or Pyrrha first and foremost. Peach is my spirit animal but Neo wields her parasol like a sword (must be made of mithril). Roman would be troll and I love it already. Sun and Yang would be really fun too. They would have funny taunts. P.E.N.N.Y. would have a tether grab. Any of the cast would be fun in a Smash style setting (ring out v stamina KO). Emerald, that’s a tricky one. Ruby would be fun too. That scythe. Could even expand on one off characters. Velvet would break the meta. Coco, I’d just want to hit people with a briefcase.close. do you want DLC of RWBY or no? tbh I've never watched RWBY (I have no interest in television), but if it did get a newcomer, I'd want it to be the Ice Cream-lookin' Lady.High key would love RWBY DLC. Screw it, just have a RWBY Smash Bros.
I’m surprised no one’s even joked about it.
I’ve also secretly wanted Viewtiful Joe and Sexy Sylvia. But that series is dead. Still a fun game though.
That’s Neo (Neopolitan)tbh I've never watched RWBY (I have no interest in television), but if it did get a newcomer, I'd want it to be the Ice Cream-lookin' Lady.
Yeah, that's the one. That’s Neo (Neopolitan)
My brain says "maybe," but my childhood says "OH, HELL YES!"Aang and Katara for Smash.
Would’ve loved Dixie if even a semiAt this point I can't even tell what is an unpopular opinion anymore. Do people generally want more FE characters, or do they not? It's impossible to tell.

I have this bias, to. I want Smash to remain mostly odd creatures, unique creative entities/magical humans like Mario and Kirby. I don't like to hate on FE but they are prime examples of what I can't stand, at least not to where their now represented since they are basically everyday people. Even Captain Falcon has a more mythical feel while from a preferably realistic series. At this point I can't even tell what is an unpopular opinion anymore. Do people generally want more FE characters, or do they not? It's impossible to tell.

If you think Fire Emblem characters are too realistic, you must hate .I have this bias, to. I want Smash to remain mostly odd creatures, unique creative entities/magical humans like Mario and Kirby. I wish Smash's realism didn't go beyond Star Fox.
Well I mean at least Ryu and Ken have magical (by this person's definition) powers (the shoryuken and stuff), and Little Mac has the KO punch gimmick. If you think Fire Emblem characters are too realistic, you must hate .
I seen this responses so many times. All of the examples you listed aren't even the characters I'm referring to. Little Mac is what I consider a magical human because he has a form of autistic, he isn't able to typically communicate like a regular human. Ryu is the fighting genre its self and Snake is a far more mythical, cartoony character than realistic. If you think Fire Emblem characters are too realistic, you must hate .
Facts. Metal gear is crazy.snake and realistic don't belong anywhere near each other
metal gear is basically an anime
Autism is magical now? Does that mean I can fire lightning bolts?I seen this responses so many times. All of the examples you listed aren't even the characters I'm referring to. Get it?! Because making fun of autism is hilarious!I seen this responses so many times. All of the examples you listed aren't even the characters I'm referring to. Best guess? They have no clue what they're talking about.Get it?! Because making fun of autism is hilarious!
Well then explain what you meant because no matter how you slice it that’s what it looked like you meant through all the broken English, no reason to call us names for interpreting you in just about the only way that could’ve been interpreted budI wasn't even making fun of autism. ****ing idiots.
Give me the warning, I'll take it.
many people are gonna be pissed at that and that isnt a good move at all. thats basically just a gimmick and would ruin everything going for competitiveMake smash meter on by default
then you worded that very poorly my friendI wasn't even making fun of autism. ****ing idiots.
Give me the warning, I'll take it.
many people are gonna be pissed at that
This aged well.-Should be cut.
While he's very popular, Cloud is 0% Nintendo only having shown up in spin-off games on Nintendo consoles.
A character from Final Fantasy 6 or even Bravely Default would have been better.
Lol, now that Final Fantasy VII is on Nintendo hardware, does your stance change at all? This aged well.
Partially, the original opinion was contrarian for the sake of the thread.Lol, now that Final Fantasy VII is on Nintendo hardware, does your stance change at all?
"Instead"? A character can be in more than one crossover.I still think he should've been in PSA:BR instead.
