Lyn swinging a sword harder than Marth and Lucina would be so wrong on so many levels

I think this is the main counterargument against this idea. I think it could work personally, given the effort put into Chrom's different idle animations and hitboxes, but I do agree it wouldn't be as easy of a copy/paste initially.

AT models have specific corner cuts that Chrom's, despite some people thinking looks off, doesn't. I've seen a Waluigi mod for SSBU that uses his AT model, and you can tell on the victory screen that he has a flatter model than Wario with lower-res textures and weaker shading.

Ok, but seriously, how can Lyn's build even fit into Roy's? How can you give her a fighting style that goes completely against her class and character?
The only FE Lord I think fits Roy's moveset other than Chrom is Alm but he'd need completely mirrored animations which don't seem to be as easy to simply make considering Link got a bunch of new animations instead of simply flipping his old ones(likely a consequence of needing to keep a good silhouette).

Honestly I used to play it every day. But the gotcha aspect became too strong. New seasonal events used to be a big deal because they came infrequently and you actually had a good chance of getting what you wanted without spending money if you just played enough. Now they've got like three banners with four unique limited time characters all going at the same time and there's just not enough ways to earn orbs to have a reasonable chance at getting them.

It's a fun time waster but DON'T get too attached to characters you want or you'll convince yourself to spend real money.

They're completely different models. It's especially noticeable with Dark Samus.

Lyn already has already estabilished herself as a katana wielder that's fast and nimble, which Smash already portrays her as such, going against that is asking for backlash and there's no way a katana that thin can sell anyone on strikes as powerful as Chrom's

You're not. I just going along the lines of touch ups to their existing models from the previous game (which all vets also went through). Echoes weren't added last minute like previous games in the series.

Copy/Paste is the primary advantage I see with Chrom and I understand that thought process, even if I don't fully agree with the end result, as fun as he is to play as.
