I still await the day of an American Gamera remake (Guillermo del Toro as my pick for nominated director) or at least a new movie made in Japan (Shusuke Kaneko directing again).

Gamera deserves so much more love attention. I wish he got the recognition that both Godzilla and King Kong gets...He's so underrated and underappreciated...

If you haven't read them before, check out Fahrenheit 451, 1984 or Brave New World. Dystopian works can really open one's eyes to reality.

Read A Different Flesh by Harry Turtledove.

An alternate history where rather then indigenous people settling in the New World. Sims (Homo erectus) had and due to their less hunting skills allows Ice Age megafauna to survive by the time Europeans arrive leading to colonization taking a much different route and humanity's view on the Sims going from at first being seen as mindless beasts to smart beings with some rights.
