I mostly liked the movie, but I would also never dislike a movie because the time travel falls apart. Time travel is impossible, so you can't make a perfect time travel movie. Also, if I went back in time and killed someone, it would literally change everything that ever interacted with that person. So for instance, if I died that means my family's memories would jut somehow vanish, and the car I bought wouldn't have driven on the roads I did, and I'd never interact with anyone so it doesn't really make any sense.

I had some serious issues with the movie, but I disagree highly with "next to no hype moments". There were MANY in my opinion.

I give it a 7/10 (I gave IW 9/10)
I swear, if one more person says time travel is impossible I'm gonna scream. We're primitive monkeys, how on earth would we actually know.

except it doesnt take parallel universes into account. technically there's lots of possibilities there ;O
Parallel universes are actually still a hypothetical and there are still a lot of arguments for and against them. Although it's interesting to think about if they actually do exist. Physics could work completely different within a different universe and that for me is insane to think about.
Well, how does your "science" explain King Crimson then?
I fully admit to my ignorance on said topic D: Is it from Jojo's Bizzare Advantures?

We are not going to magically find a way to reverse the flow of time, so if it were possible,

it would have to pretty much be the endgame method lol

Well I think it's that openness (of us not knowing) that leaves lots of possibilities to make movies about :)

Pokémon: Makes good video game movie

I have some issues with Detective Pikachu, but overall as a family movie it goes beyond a lot of stuff, coming from a video game.

That’s why sci-fi is so fun.
Full of what-ifs we would never be able to comprehend otherwise

I mean, all elements of sci-fi are "impossible" until we figure them out. Not saying time travel will ever be a reality by any stretch, but to assume we have all the facts of the universe and can clearly write things off seems a little presumptuous to me.

People were mocked for proposing germs/flight/space travel/etc. Just because our current understanding doesn't allow for things isn't the same as NEVER.

Since time travel is being brought up I want to clarify how it works.

As some have mentioned time travel to the past is not possible. Time travels only in one direction and that direction is forward. Time travel to the future though is definitely possible. However, it works a bit differently than what you might normally expect. The concept was explained well by Einstein in his Special Theory of Relativity. Here he established the concept of time dilation. Time dilation is best explained with frames of reference. Imagine someone in a spaceship and someone observing the spaceship from the Earth. If the person inside the spaceship travels close to the speed of light (say 80% of it) to a nearby star and the trip takes them 5 years from Earth's frame of reference 8.33 years would have passed. So that means if we had both people, the one on Earth and the one on the ship be 30 years old, once the person on the ship returns they would be 35 while the one on Earth would be 38 or so. Or in other words, 8 years have passed on Earth by the time the person on the spaceship returns when compared to the 5 that did for the traveler. This difference of course is further increased the closer you travel to the speed of light. It is important to note that anything other than massless particles cannot travel at the speed of light.

For those curious the mathematical formula itself is:
t' = (t / sqrt(1-(v^2/c^2)))

t' would be the person on Earth's time
t would be the person on the ship's time
v would be velocity
c is the speed of light = 3.0 * 10^8 meters/second
This is impressive, I wish I had this knowledge.

I am aware this is already posted but Gamexplain posted this nice video/summary. There may be evidence of same screen multiplayer in Super Mario Maker 2.

We are always traveling through time at a rate of 1 second per second. :secretkpop:
While that's true, there's no collective measure for how long a second is except relative to what moves in the universe. The length of that depends on how long it feels to each individual in their consciousness.

Well then she loses a life, which she'll need for Grunty's Fiery Furnace

...Maybe Wademan should off you after all
Ahem. Maybe this world is not so great to live in afterall.

Not if Teeb’s playing the XBOX version.
Even if I still have 7 out of my 9 lives left. I still dont like to die :/

When half of our universe gets annihilated by a big alien raisin, you're gonna be the one to save us in the event he destroys the infinity stones
I'd watch that.

I definitely agree. It's what got me into the career path I am on today. If it wasn't for Star Wars, Star Fox and others, I don't think I would have chosen Physics as my career.
This is impressive, I wish I had this knowledge.
A lot of studying and training. In essence it boils down to a lot of practice. Set goals and find the pathway to achieve them. The knowledge is there for you to grasp!
You'd best believe it.
It sure is and it just works.
I have to admit that I've never seen the series... I know, what am I even doing I should just drop everything and watch it.

I'd give a lecture to the big alien raisin until he passes out due to boredom. Then I'd call Galactic Patrol and have him jailed in Galactic Prison.

It's great to live in. First you just have to accept Banjo as your lord and savior, and sign away your soul in order to forget the forced oppression for people against Banjo. You know, pleasant world.

But yeah, dying is never pleasant. Have you seen how you can die in Banjo? You can basically die via falling out of the sky all the way down onto the surface in Banjo Tooie.
