I main Samus, Ridley and K.Rool; characters who supposedly got worse or are directly bad because of the nerfs. Yet here I am, winning most of my matches with them without any trouble.

I actually think Ridley's pretty good.

His large hurtbox combined with his lightness is a flaw but he can do big-boy damage, like comparable to Bowser and Ganon. And he has massive hitboxes to go with that hurtbox.

The only one of these that got nerfed was k.rool

And I don’t feel anything worse with K.Rool ever since I used him after the patch.
He is still as good as he was at launch for me.

Yeah. The FGC seems to either jump to "they're broken" or "they suck" with new characters with their first impression.

Diddy asked for a list of characters while already mentioning K.Rool so I felt it was needed. Though I'm a bit confused about the recovery nerf, was it distance too or just the propeller hitbox? And doesn't Palu's Nair change only makes it look cleaner instead of actually changing it in terms of gameplay?

K.Rool is Just a hitbox nerf.
Palutena is a "hitstun" nerf meaning that you won't get that weird extending animation on every hit, meaning it doesn't take as long but does the same damage/knockback

K.Rool is Just a hitbox nerf.

Honestly that hitbox nerf feels pretty justified for K.Rool. Second heaviest character in the game with a recovery that gives you a surprisingly good amount of vertical distance AND making it hard to challenge felt a bit much, He's still a bad character but I see the logic in that

This is pretty much my line of thinking as well. I still mained Roy (and low-key Zelda) back in Smash 4 when they were considered very low tier. I just play characters I feel comfortable with.

Fast, lots of disjoints, good damage output, side b cheese, his positives might even outweigh his bad disadvantage state. Though once I was in disadvantage against a DK and I just killed him instantly with side b cheese lmao so maybe his disadvantage state isn't even that bad

Dude, that’s really rough but none of this is your fault. Staying out of it was the right thing to do because you could’ve gotten very hurt yourself. Even so, I’m sorry all this happened. My PMs and Discord are always open if you need someone to talk to.

The only character that only got nerfs out of the three was K. Rool. Like Gwen said, Samus got buffs. Ridley got QoL changes on three of his aerials and a buff to his meter FS.

Well this was alot better than I thought it would be. Nobody was seriously injured, that's good.
