Hmm... that certainly is an interesting situation. Especially due to the apparent similarities between her and Joker along with the grappling hook bit.

She could work as an echo, but I’m not 100%.

Do we have any idea what her Persona is/looks like?

no, but Nekoo had an interesting theory that it'll be based off josephine balsamo, arsene lupin's rival/occasional lover

it sets them up as male/female parallels, explains the similar appearance, and even has interesting story implications for who she sides with (i.e. going back and forth as for/against the thieves)

well, story elements will have to change to accommodate the new content - it could be that the final boss is pushed back later into the year, or that there's a new final boss taking place before the events of the original game's ending come to pass

hard to tell at this point

Why couldn't Kasumi's lower half just be designed like Makoto's outfit. That would have been cool.

I definitely hope we get her earlier tho. I want something new early on enough.

Given from what we saw in the trailer, Kasumi doesn't appear to be the only thing P5R has for new content, gameplay or cutscenes. If they're keeping the base plot for Persona 5, I doubt they'll force Kasumi into the team until a looooooong time so she doesn't interfere. At the very least, dungeons seem to have new rooms and layouts to accommodate for the grappling hook. I bet there will also be new personas and enemies to beat up too.

Plus, being real, Kasumi is the trump card for Persona 5 R because she brings along new story elements and a new party member, which means more in-game time that was originally skipped in the base game. What they're going to do is ride out her mystery until the base game is done to keep you invested in her story, assuming you don't spoil it before Royal is released to America.

Oh wait, hold up. I just forgot, Nintendo's investor meeting is tomorrow. Last time we got some pretty out there announcements such as mobile games and such. Predictions right now.

While I’m still excited to hear about how Nintendo has done over the past year, I’m still interested in seeing how much more they’re going into the mobile market.

It’s starting to become a bigger part of Nintendo’s revenue stream and I’m curious as to what they have in store next, besides Mario Kart Tour.

if nothing else, it makes her serve the story much better than marie did
