I mean, if we're gonna be real, Smash Ultimate at this point sold over 20 million copies, the most sold of the franchise. Smash For kinda was cornered with the skewed dual release and one of them being on a failed console, hence why there was only really three "DLC packs", if you disregard Corrin, Roy, Lucas and Mewtwo since they're just sold as is.

Come by their predicted deadline of February 2020, this game will have sold between 30 - 35 million, give or take, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if there was a second season to keep things going for the mass audience.

What if the echoes were bundled with their originals provided their originals are also on the pass?

Or if they’re patched in for free for FP owners provided their originals are also on the FP?

Just gimme Tetra, Bandana Dee and Dixie Kong at some point.

Those are the only remaining Nintendo characters I really want in.

EDIT: Actually, Waluigi and Skull Kid are up there, too, but at this point I fear their chances are gone.

Methinks Geno has a good chance for a Season 2 especially if we don't get Stages since Geno is a Mario Character after all.

Main issue with more characters, is that it adds more work to balance and maintain the game. Basically it would boil down to seeing if the maintenance and game balance is worth more fighter passes as it can become quite costly not only money-wise but also labor-wise.

Better than some, but probably not as likely compared to some of his other Namco brethren.

One thing he's got going for him is the rivalry between Pokemon and Digimon, which was a big damn deal back in the day, and that's saying something because a rivalry is a big reason Sonic got into Smash in the first place.

Otherwise the problems he faces is the usual. Popularity and relevance. I'm sure Digimon Games are still being pumped out but in recent years they've become a considerably smaller deal, which isn't necessarily a killer but it's not a good thing either.

All in all he's got a good running for a Namco rep, however, I don't feel like he's coming this Fighters Pass at the very least. He's a sleeper pick for a Namco rep though, one that I think far too many people are overlooking.

Honestly, if we got a THIRD Namco character. Augumon is the only choice. But before that I think Tales or Dark Souls takes precedence.

If there are more fighter passes, maybe. We need to get to the end of this fighter pass first I think before considering the possibility of other ones.
