Isekais are to light novels what "demon slaying" fantasy is to shonen manga. It makes up a considerable amount of the content

Well, all I know is that the isekai genre is so widespread, a crossover between four isekai anime just came out.

Granted, all four of them are made by the same company, but still.

It's about a salaryman from Japan who was killed, and when a god offered him another chance at life, he insulted it, refusing to believe it even existed.

I watched a few episodes of it, actually.

My favorite part of the whole thing is that to use her magic, Tanya is forced to say prayers to the god that sent her there in the first place.

And by forced, I mean she literally says it with no control over herself, as evident by a scene that shows her inwardly raging over what she's saying.

or my friends tell me how awful the series is and point out how the MC's an awful person.


Series kinda gets tainted for me.
