I agree there. There were some rough moments in that game, though I can't think of any specifics.

That, and the decision to mostly ignore the mouth movements on the characters caused some major goofs (anybody remember Zeke's introductory cutscene? OOF).

I happened to see a “leak” earlier from 4chan that shared the French script of a Smash Direct. It was totally not going to happen, as it gave Joker the Personas of his main party members (which he can’t actually use in game), and the Square Enix character wasn’t Erdrick, but Crono.

Having never played Chrono Trigger, I still think Crono would be badass.

Either way, if we do get a Direct announcement tomorrow (not that i’m getting my hopes up) then you can imagine what my reaction would be like.

Actually, i’ll just post this meme to share it instead.

I don't think it was the fault of the VA's. The dialogue was just kind of awkward and should've been rewritten

tbh the dialogue was fine and so were the vas

the direction imo was hella off

it was pretty obvious that the vas weren't given multiple takes on certain points, or couldn't see the cutscene so they couldn't match their speaking to the lip flaps/gaps in the convo that are normal in japanese that they couldn't nake it sound natural in english ("chairman......... bana?")

this is evident in that torna appears to have better va direction in how the lip flaps actually match the dialogue and the same thing with the weird gaps which are now filled with say gasping and the such yeah

It stores the number of likes someone has in the database (as opposed to just adding up the raw number of likes per post), and that function alters that number directly. So it's basically producing likes out of nowhere. :p

The Direct script leak seems suspect.

Everything seems plausible (except maybe Joker having, like, 9 Personas) until the Crono bit, where it starts falling apart.

The script mentions Mii Fighter costumes, but nothing is said of them at all (it just says "you can buy Mii Fighter costumes for €0.75" but not who they are.)

Why does Crono have that "partner" mechanic that's tied to the character select screen? That seems overcomplicated, not to mention that it could make fighting him online a pain if you can't see what Partners they pick.
