What the **** do any of us know what's supposed to fit Smash? None of us are named Masahiro Sakurai and born in the 70s.

Considering what the current roster is, what exactly DOESNT fit Smash?

Many things. Most characters actually.

One could say that a Season 2 DLC pack would be better suited to things like Assist Upgrades and Hardcore fan picks (also characters like Rex & Pyra).

Here's my logic.

By the time Season 2 of DLC is released, especially in a fighting game, most of the casual audience has dropped the game to move on to other games, anyone left are hardcore fans who are likely going to be sticking around for the long haul. You can use the DLC as incentive to try to bring back the casual fans (a risky venture), or you can reward the hardcore fans for sticking around so long (while also potentially bringing back casual fans if the choice happen to also appeal to them).

That's my dream DLC list. My realistic one would be something like:

• Waluigi
• Rex & Pyra
• Astral Chain Twins
• Crash Bandicoot
• Sora (if there is no ballot for him to win)/Frisk/Unexpected Third Party that surprisingly appeals to the core fanbase

You’re I think the first person I’ve ever seen say they derived any enjoyment from smash tour. You do you, but for me I loved how replayable Smash Run was. I found it to fun traverse the map and fight enemies that actually came from the series’ and weren’t ocs. A refined Smash Run with online and the ability to interact with other players would be great imo.

I assure you there are more like me.

Smash Tour was ultimately flawed, but was a great base concept that can be built on for a fun experience.

Alright here we go.
1. I really don’t feel this argument holds up. It’s a crossover. The entire point is clashing series and aesthetics. We just got anime boy Joker when Jack Frost fits a cartoony style far better.
2. Jack Frost is Atlus’ mascot too. Plus in recent years I’d argue the assassins have become more emblematic of Ubisoft than Rayman, if only due to the series’ overwhelming popularity,
3. I think this hurts Rayman more than anything. He’s been a trophy for two games now, they went to Ubisoft to get the right just to put him as a trophy. It makes me question how strongly the smash team actually considers Rayman as a fighter.
4. Again, we just got Joker, a character who had very little fan support (shoutouts to DaybreakHorizon though). Rayman has more fan support, yes, but fan support can only get you so far. Think of it this way, Nintendo seems to be trying to appeal to mor rout there demographics with the DLC. Assasin’s Creed is one of the biggest global multimedia videogame series ever, with a ton of fans who might not necessarily be interested in Smash. By adding Ezio, you are tapping into that huge market.

Ezio isn't likely, even when we ignore Rayman. He and Joker have similar fighting styles, which may hurt his chances, as Nintendo would likely be looking to add a more diverse roster of characters.

If I could upgrade five assist trophies without them being echoes

1. Bomberman because bias. But see, he's also a video game icon, too, who rarely dabbled away from Nintendo.
2. Isaac for the fans.
3. Shovel Knight so he could be the first indie character to ever be in the roster
4. Krystal
5. Zero.

Yes this would be an ideal season.

Pretty much my same thoughts. I talked about it with a friend of mine last night and what we said is how DLC pack 1 will have a major focus on 3rd party and if there's a chance of a 2nd pack, which in my opinion isn't too unlikely, then it'd be focused more on 1st party. It would please different sides of the fandom while still keeping the game fresh. At the very least, I consider the possibility of getting another character besides those of the Fighter Pass to be possible.

Smash Run was something you grinded through to unlock the special moves and then quit. It also lacked online so you couldn't really play with friends.

Smash Tour? It's Smash Bros. Mario Party. My best friend and I used to always play Smash Tour and pretty much always had a great time. A refined, better Smash Tour would be so much better than a reshill of Smash Run.

I don't see why we couldn't have both though.

IF, and IF they incorporated actual Multiplayer, and not "4 players have the same map but they each have a different instance", the mode would have been City Trial 2.0.

This implies that we are getting new challengers to the franchise, which I interpret to be characters from series that have yet to be represented in Ultimate. This also hints at the possibility of more Packs coming in the future, such as a hypothetical "Assist Trophy Pack" or "First Party Pack" (which won't be named as such obviously, but you get the idea.)

Numerous chases and fights ensue, but there's very little death. The Creeper avoids blowing itself up and instead opts to kill Tatsu with a throwing knife (somehow), and Sans gives a mercy kill to Breadbear after defeating him in combat.

Also, Nia starts a musical number! ...With another Sans default dancing to the tune.

I'm really surprised they have yet to remake Kirby Air Ride. Even if it was just City Trial mode I'd pay for it.

I remember having a lot of fun with that game, and I'd easily pay $60 for an HD version. Bonus points if they add characters, rides, etc.

This is interesting to see. I usually don't hear people liking Smash Tour.

I personally thought both modes were pretty hit and miss. They can either be really fun or really terrible depending on your luck. Too inconsistent for my liking

Like with Smash Run, it's great as a single player arcade Subspace Emissary, but the payoff battles afterwards are incredibly short and are the least fun parts about them.

Smash Tour is slow but can be pretty humorous with friends. Without them, though, it's depressing. It's also hard to really learn Smash Tour apparently.

When did I imply that Banjo/Erdrick aren't likely picks? I said out of Indie Reps Sans/Frisk are the most likely in my opinion, Erdrick and Banjo are not Indie Characters. They're owned by a company.

Also isn't "Fighters Pass" What the entire thing is called? we have "Fighter Pack 1" "Fighter Pack 2" Etc. If not then what's it called?
