Splatoon was released during the ballot, its hard to not imagine people who voted after its release considering the idea was that it was for Smash 4 DLC to a lot of people.

Some text leak about the ballot results, and now we're just talking about it if it's hypothetically true. Now it's just evolving into discussions of character popularity, and if this character has a larger/smaller following than most though. It is about the Smash 4 ballot, yes.
Whenever people say "X is gonna kill Y" it rarely ever ends up actually happening. Remember all the WoW killers? Or the TF2 killers? Or, even more recently, how Artifact was supposed to kill Hearthstone?
I'm just surprised that they didn't try this idea in Japan or Korea first, considering they have quite good online infrastructure and a few games there are cloud based.
If anything, I think the funniest part is all the influencers trying to sugarcoat Stadia are getting BTFO'd by everybody bringing up the point of the huge downsides of a "all digital console", bringing up stuff like P.T. and Scott Pilgrim: The Video Game.lol the fact that it's just looks like a fancy Google Play Store is the funniest part

Huh, interesting... Well at the least, I spotted characters and franchises that I'd love to see included in the Fighter's Pass, though I'm unsure myself if that has any impact on Nintendo's choices. Fate's chances of having playable representation through Arturia would go up a ton if true.
