So with all the echo talk, what changes/differences do you want the echoes to have from their counterparts? From cosmetic to playstyle-changing ones.

So many characters are likeable, so it's easy to play random. Then again, I hate playing so many characters. I believe there's a site where you can enter in characters and rng one of them. One could make an excel spreadsheet to do the same.

Nintendo announces an Echoes Pass for Smash Bros. Ultimate! For $14.99 you get 5 echo fighters/semi-clones of existing Fighters. What five characters would you want to see and who would they be echoes of?

For me, I'd like to see:

1. Celica - echo of Robin without durability mechanic
   1. Standard and Smash attacks are with Beloved Zofia, attacks do damage between Levin and Bronze Sword
   2. Special Attacks conduct self-harm instead of using durability. With this standard attacks using magic are changed to remove the book and deal small self-damage. In return they do more damage.
2. Black Shadow - echo of Captain Falcon using dark elemental attacks instead of fire
3. Dixie Kong - echo of Diddy Kong with some specials changed
   1. Recovery becomes Hair Helicopter (Similar to Duck Hunt Dog's)
   2. Standard Special becomes Hair Whip (Similar to Piranha Plant's Standard Special but less ridiculous)
4. Octoling - echo of Inkling, mainly cosmetic like Simon and Richter
5. Bass - echo of Megaman, uses different special weapons with different elemental effects, centers more around darkness
   1. Standard Special: Shadow Blade
   2. Recovery: Treble Adapter (Similar to R.O.B.'s recovery)
   3. Side Special: Napalm Bomb
   4. Down Special: Skull Barrier

Quite a neat idea, I think a few ideas have been posted already so I'll just try to post additional ones

Echoes that I can think off :

Malos from XBC2: Shulk echo

• Some of his attacks have the same functionality as Shulk (Back slash from Shulk / Striker Edge from Malos) so little to no change
• His side b doesnt have a few powers like Speed
• Down b could be used for a debuff that temporally disables one move
• New Final Smash with him invoking the artifice or a combo attack with Jin

Possibly cosmetic (due to being late and cannot think a lot right now):

• Zack from FFVII
• Liquid Snake from Metal Gear Solid
• Either Panther Carusso or Leon Powalski for Wolf

I also remember seeing some ideas like Lord Fredrick being a good option for K. Rool with Dedede's Up-b.

1. Mostly the same moves as Zelda, but change Elements to opposite to match her being Zelda's opposite, such as Din's Fire being Ice.
2. Change Phantom out for a LBW/LttP Guard.

3) Dixie Kong - Echo of Diddy Kong​

1. Same changes as yours essentially.
2. Change out Final Smash for Rocking Out like in her DKC2 Victory Animation.

4) Impa - Echo of Sheik​

1. Just a slower, stronger Sheik..but only slightly so..not a Falcon/Ganon situation.

5) Celica - Echo of Robin​

1. Same changes as yours, but with Princess Sword instead of Levin Sword.

Alright sure, I'll bite.
Discounting characters that already have echoes, here's who I'd personally pick.

• Hector (Ike)
  • Different miscellaneous animations despite moveset similarity. More cocky and arrogant.
  • Lightning effects
  • Less overall damage, but if hit at the sweetspot of the axe, does more damage and knockback.
  • 
• Big Boss (Snake)
  • Uses MGS3 Design
  • Weapons replaced with lower-tech equivalents.
    • Replaces cypher with fulton system. Puts snakes in place while allowing him to move horizontally before shooting straight up
    • Replaces Nikita with tranq pistol which is worse for edgeguarding but better in neutral
    • Replaces C4 with TNT which deals less damage and has slight physics to it
  • In exchange, his melee attacks employ a knife, which lets him do slightly more damage and knockback.
  • Has taunt where he eats food
  • 
• Zack Fair (Cloud Strife)
  • Different animations for miscellaneous attacks.
  • Uses a different buster sword design
  • Has taunt where he asks the opponent out on a date
  • Final Smash is Octaslash
  • 
• Jeanne (Bayonetta)
  • Literally canon and in original game that they fight exactly the same
  • Different miscellaneous animations
  • Has Bayo 2 and Bayo 1 option
  • Intro has her ride in with a motorcycle. Victory has her ride off with it as well

  • This one's probably the biggest stretch

In a time where Capcom pumps out games like Mega Man Legacy Collection 1+ 2, X Legacy Collection 1 + 2, The Capcom Best-em Up Bundle, and The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary collection, seeing Konami release just lazy ports is super disappointing. 1. Shadow (Sonic)
- Change his running animation, walking animation, idle animations, ducking animation, up throw, and give him Mewtwo's up special (hell, you could keep the up special the same, and just change the design to the modern Sonic spiring, and I wouldn't mind).

2. Impa (Sheik)
-Ocarina of Time version works the best; you really don't need to change a thing.

3. Tom Nook (Villager)
-You don't really need to change much, he just wouldn't summon himself for his Final Smash.

4. Ms. Pac-Man (Pac-Man)
- Swap out the melon, Galaga, bell, and key for pretzel, pear and banana. Everything else could stay mostly the same, maybe change up the idle animations.

5. Funky Kong? (Donkey Kong) I'm not sure if having him stand upright and being smaller would mess with things too much for him to work as an echo... probably... I guess you could always add prototype Ness aka Ninten, or Octoling (but they would need 8 unique colors to set their ink apart from the Inklings), if all else fails, just add more dark characters... or Jeanne.

Obviously taunts and victory animations would be unique.

Maybe a couple more Marth echoes. Ooh, how about an echo of Marth's ex echo's echo? or an echo for his echo?
Better yet, turn Marth into an echo!

On a side note, I would like Adult Ocarina of Time Link back, Twilight Princess Link, Skyward Sword Link (but tone down on the fish lips), Original LoZ Link, aLttP/Link's Awakening/Oracles Link, maybe sprinkle a bit of Hyrule Warriors Link, A Link Between Worlds/Triforce Heroes Link, and a crap-load of more Toon Links with minor aesthetic differences to individually represent each Toon Zelda game. Oh, and CD-I Link and TV show Link.

Here's the shocker, none of them are echoes. I mean, sure, they would all practically share the same moveset, but Toon Link and Young Link aren't echo fighters, so I think it'd be fine to make each and every one of these Links individual fighters. Ohoh, especially the CD-I one.

So with all the echo talk, what changes/differences do you want the echoes to have from their counterparts? From cosmetic to playstyle-changing ones.

If we're talking current Echoes, Dark Samus to have a Scatter Shot for her Neutral Special. And a Down Smash that uses the Tendrils from her Assist Trophy from Smash 4. Instead of Morph Ball bombs, Dark Samus uses the Boost Ball from the Prime series. Her recovery should be that Dive Bomb version of the Screw Attack she does in Prime 2. Her Forward Smash Multi-hits and has an a pull in effect. I'd maybe replace her jab with a claw swipe too. Not sure how to implement the cloning technique outside of a Final Smash though. I'd also say give Regular Samus the Uppercut from Samus Returns as a new Up-Smash.

Maybe give Richter the Knife instead of the Boomerang, and he uses Hydro Storm instead of Grand Cross. Considering the moves the Belmonts have are Half Simon(The Spinning Whip, being able to whip in 8 Directions and the Tether) and Half Richter(Dash,Slide, Uppercut and Dive Kick), it's hard to say who should get what if you were to differ them some more.

For a new Echo, Protoman as Glass Cannon. He should be faster on the ground than Mega Man, but easier to launch, since he takes double knockback in MM9 and 10. He can stand and neutral jump with his Shield in front of him, acting like Link's does, reflecting projectiles, like in Mega Man 9 and 10 when using him and his boss fights in MM3. He can only shoot 2 buster shots at a time, like MM9. He has a Shield Dash attack in place of Crash Bomb, Granted, I'd replace Crash Bomb in favor of Ice Slasher or Pile Driver for Mega Man if possible. Have him use Shadow Blade instead of Metal Blade. Maybe he can jump higher too, to give him some more advantages. Basically, Protoman's a Glass Cannon compared to Mega Man being kind of a tank in Smash. Leaf Shield gets swapped with one of the shield customs he had in Smash 4, maybe Plant Barrier, but make it launch oppnents much further, to make it a K.O move, but at the cost of range. Since he'd be based on MM9, he should only be ever so slightly taller than Mega Man.

Akuma since he's one of the first to come to mind. His mid-air fireballs are shot at a 45 degree angle. Tatsu has a Darkness Effect, Shoryuken and Hadoken have Dark effects. His Shoryuken and Tatsu both Multihit. His Down Special is the Demon Flip. It can lead to 3 different moves depending on what you press, if you press nothing after Down-B, he lands and does a sliding kick, if you press B in the middle of the move, he does his Dive Kick. If you press A during a Demon Flip you get a Command Grab. His Heavy Side Tilt is the double roundhouse. His Down Smash is Evil Ryu's Stomp. Like Ryu and Ken, he has two Final Smashes, Far Away is the Ground Punch from SF3, while Up Close is a Raging Demon.

For Asthetics, his dodge animations are his Teleport from the SF games.

Huh. Nobody's here except for me.

Not only has my eleven year old son begun to exhaust himself each and every day since April 27th of last year trying to build muscle by struggling to do push-ups and sit-ups, but recently, his fixation over achieving a body like Thanos has taken a frightening turn. I came home from Walmart the other day to find him standing in front of the bathroom mirror sobbing and carving grooves into his chin with his pocket knife from cub scouts. Scattered on the floor were several purple markers and even a broken purple crayon, as he had attempted to color his skin purple using any supply of purple coloring available. Also on the floor was a pair of zig-zagged safety scissors which he later told me he had tried to use to remove his hair. Upon discovering my son marring his face in the bathroom and bleeding profusely from the wounds he'd inflicted upon his sloppily purple colored face, I immediately dragged him to the car to bring him to the hospital. He sobbed the whole way there, incoherently asking me if I thought he'd ever be 8 feet tall and why his muscles weren't getting any bigger. I did my best to calm him down and asked why he had done this to himself. Still sobbing with streaks of purple ink running all the way down the neck from his tears, he choked out "the h-h-hardest ch-choices require the str-strongest w-wills..."

My son is ok for now, but it's going to be a long road towards rebuilding a healthy self image for him. The point is, Thanos sets completely unrealistic body standards for developing boys and it's sick. The people behind these movies should be ashamed for ruining the self esteem of an innocent boy and driving him to take such drastic measures to try to achieve an unattainable body.

Oh buddy, you don't even!

1. Grovyle (echo of Greninja)
- Instead of Water Blades, he can easily use Leaf Blades.
Neutral B: Bullet Seed. Like Ivysaurs, only horizontal.
SideB: PMD Grovyle uses Shadow Sneak but he could go with Dig too to mix it up a little.
UpB: Quick Attack. Similar to Pikachu
DownB: PMD Grovyle also uses Substitute so yeah.
Final Smash: something fun with Luminous orbs.

2. Dry Bowser (echo for Bowser)
- would be slightly lighter than Bowser.
SideB: Bone toss. Rips a Bone out off his body and uses K. Rool sideB.
UpB: reconstruct. All his bones fly upward in a random order, carying people along with him before het reconstructs himself.
DownB: same as Bowser, but he Falls apart when he hit the ground, forcing him to rebuild himself. This gives him a handfull of I-frames, but he can't move.

3. Dixie Kong (Diddy Kong echo)
Neutral B: Bubblegum Gun. Works the same as Diddies but hit opponents are slowed down for a while.
UpB: Propellor. Uses her Hair similar to K.Rool's helicopter. Less powerfull but a bit wider.

4. Hades (Palutena echo)
- A bit heavier and Slower. His smash Attacks are borrowed from Sm4sh Gannon, but with Fire effect.
NeutralB: Hell reticule. The spheres are Slower, but they're ob Fire and deal more hitstun.
SideB: Explosive Hellfire. The flame grows for a while longer but deals less knockback.

Not only has my eleven year old son begun to exhaust himself each and every day since April 27th of last year trying to build muscle by struggling to do push-ups and sit-ups, but recently, his fixation over achieving a body like Thanos has taken a frightening turn. I came home from Walmart the other day to find him standing in front of the bathroom mirror sobbing and carving grooves into his chin with his pocket knife from cub scouts. Scattered on the floor were several purple markers and even a broken purple crayon, as he had attempted to color his skin purple using any supply of purple coloring available. Also on the floor was a pair of zig-zagged safety scissors which he later told me he had tried to use to remove his hair. Upon discovering my son marring his face in the bathroom and bleeding profusely from the wounds he'd inflicted upon his sloppily purple colored face, I immediately dragged him to the car to bring him to the hospital. He sobbed the whole way there, incoherently asking me if I thought he'd ever be 8 feet tall and why his muscles weren't getting any bigger. I did my best to calm him down and asked why he had done this to himself. Still sobbing with streaks of purple ink running all the way down the neck from his tears, he choked out "the h-h-hardest ch-choices require the str-strongest w-wills..."

My son is ok for now, but it's going to be a long road towards rebuilding a healthy self image for him. The point is, Thanos sets completely unrealistic body standards for developing boys and it's sick. The people behind these movies should be ashamed for ruining the self esteem of an innocent boy and driving him to take such drastic measures to try to achieve an unattainable body.

Jokes aside, you are treating movesets like they are purely specials. Even if you cram Hades's frame into Palutena's model's sizes, he'd need a shield and staff for normals etc.
