Could you remind me which episodes those were again?

Also it just hit me a few months ago that “Hooked” was an allegory for drug addiction, in my defense I haven’t see that episode in years.
The racism one is Squirrel Jokes, where Spongebob kept making stereotypical Squirrel Jokes, not taking in consideration Sandy's offence to these jokes, only for her to conform to his stereotypes, which almost kills him. He learns the errors of his ways, and instead makes fun of everyone in Bikini Bottom, including himself.

The sexism one is pressure, where's it's Land vs. Water, but it's more of a Boys v Girls (or in this case, girl), to see which one was better. At the conclusion of that episode, both the Sandy and the sea creatures realize that both are bad at somethings that the other excel at, and they shouldn't be at each other's throats about their differences.

I loved those episodes a lot.

There's also Sun Bleached "for racism" from season 6, but that one was kind of dumb. The lesson was more about peer pressure than anything.

Same here. I also used to watch Spongebob, Alvin and the Chipmunk and such things. However, when I grew up, I realized how infantile those cartoons were. They were very stupid, and very boring. They don't give a single ***king plot. They give me boring episodes that I never ever enjoy.

For this reason alone, I completely stopped watching cartoons, instead looking forward to animes. Animes have a actual plot, and they could teach something to kids..
Just because anime have plots that last longer than an episode doesn't mean they do any more for a child than Spongebob. As a matter of fact it's better for a child to watch episodes with mini plots than attempting to keep up with a series of shows with plots. And you can't tell me Anime with long, drawn out, filler are by far better than a quick and completely entertaining episode of Spongebob.

You can prefer Anime all you want but don't have a superiority complex over it when they're two vastly different forms of entertainment despite looking similar. Spongebob is almost certainly the reason Meme culture is the way it is today. A lot of humor today revolves around the stupidest humor that Spongebob taught us. In that way Spongebob os more revolutionary than any anime that was released within the same time frame. But you know I guess that doesn't matter because you can't consider cartoons art, apparently, even though Anime can be...

Squirrel jokes taught us all a lesson that would never fly today. The best kind of comedy is being racist towards everyone.

I do find it funny that almost every Spongebob episode has something that's meme worthy, even in the bad episodes. Meanwhile, the Simpsons has been around for more than double the time Spongebob has, and good luck finding a meme past Season 8 aside from the movie.

Shows how the two stood the test of time.

Sometimes we discuss leaks.

But because it's so early in the DLC cycle, there aren't that many leaks to be had, and the only ones around are text-only.

It'll be a while before picture leaks will be even remotely believable (the last picture "leak" we had (the JSON leak) was more of a mock-up to show what the guy was trying to tell us rather than an actual picture leak).

again?

what made her quit? what made her go back?
She started getting invested in other fandoms for the past couple years that drew her attention and creativity instead. But she's left all those for one reason or another, and has somehow landed back on furry with renewed enthusiasm. There's no telling if it'll last this time, or if something else will grab her attention and she'll put it behind her again.

Eh, whatever makes her happy. She doesn't take it to any kind of extreme, so it'd relatively harmless. I'm just not particularly enthusiastic about it.

Personally I have trouble thinking on Spongebob memes that originated after its first movie

I thought Pressure was one of them I just couldn’t remember which one that would’ve been, it makes sense now that you also mentioned Squirrel Jokes, I forgot about that one.

Thank you.

People say that anime is "so much different and better" than cartoons, but in the reality, they are the same thing.

Even if most anime is Japanese and most cartoons are American, Canadian or European, both are animated, hand drawn, etc.

Both portray a message, but they do not have to be "long stories with moments that will bring you to tears and powerful sword fighting scenes."

Spongebob was never meant to be like that. Spongebob was meant to be a funny slice of life with multiple plots, and it worked.

Spongebob is the best animated slice-of-life and funny show with multiple plots on the planet, even if I only like three seasons of it.

you guys want REAL racism?

black yoshi was cut in favor of another green yoshi. this is an example of minorities (black yoshi) getting shafted in order to please the majority (green yoshis), and this is parallel to black's treatment in society today.

nintendo is RACIST everyone. return your switches... this is NOT a company you should be supporting

You forgot Squidward from that Finding Gary episode, where Squidward is taking a bath and Spongebob and Patrick burst in and then Squidward screams.

Man, come to think of it, the Fairly OddParents could have been Spongebob tier, like, aside from Rugrats, those two shows were EVERYWHERE in terms of marketing airtime. Like if the Sponge wasn't on, it was Timmy, Cosmo, and Wanda.

But then, they just had to drop the ball. Poof was fine, but Sparky... ugh. And the Chloe too..

Why... it could have been so much more...

As a kid, I watched pretty much any episode of Spongebob, regardless of what season it was from. I knew most of the show was hated, but I kept watching just because. Eventually in season 8, I accepted the show was bad and I stopped watching, but around season 10, I heard the show had picked itself up some. So now I'll watch episodes from season 9 or after, if they're on.

Fairly odd parents just... kinda died. It was weird that it just kind of faded from public view in its later years, like I kept thinking to myself "This show is still on?" When they debuted a new character.

Speaking of which, you guys remember the first season of Gumball? It was pretty nothing more than a mediocre Spongebob clone with two idiots running around and being annoying. I mean, look at the later seasons (and by that, I mean season 2 and onwards), and look at season 1. It's like a whole new different show, and for the better.
