Alternatively I could be known as “The Guy Who’s Obsessed With Glasses” or “The Guy Who Won’t Shut Up About Cynthia” or “The Guy Who Spent His Entire Time on Smashboards in The Shantae Threads and Didn’t Branch Out That Much Until Last December.” and if I had more self-awareness I could go into plenty more potential titles all night.
I’d be that FNAF guy...

Your many titles sound better. lol

i mean that was just gaiden/echoes tho; one game from 1990 and one remake from 2016

three houses has hogwarts but i dont see any exploration
I meant Echoes having a third-person view for Alm/Celica while freely moving throughout dungeons like Link would in any 3D Zelda. Alm/Celica also had very basic dashes and sword-swings for interacting with objects in dungeons so it wasn't just a way of travel. Of course, Echoes dungeon gameplay is nowhere near as fleshed out as Zelda gameplay but there is a precedent for action in FE and trying to have a crossover for the FE x LOZ sharing gameplay from the series isn't as far-fetched as Alastor makes it out to be.

When it comes to crossovers, the ones I would love the most are Crash Bandicoot/Donkey Kong Country (ignoring Skylanders Imaginators, since that probably was unintentional), Metroid Prime/Halo and Mario Kart/Mach Rider.

I may pick the Master Chief collection if true, but maybe I will be fine just with 1 and 2.
Honestly, if you get into Halo and like it you're gonna want to play Halo 3. Then ODST. Then Reach. 4 and 5 are optional but you're gonna have a hard time playing only 1 & 2.

Quick question:
Is it possible to play any Halo game on PC?
I want to try any game in the series, but I fear that I won’t be able to get a Xbox One this year.
You want to play offline? Try playing Halo Combat Evolved or Custom Edition. The Halo 2 port isn't good from what I remember.

If you want online multiplayer try playing Halo Online. Which is an unofficial game, but still. It's pretty active and fun. It plays just like Halo 3 with some new stuff.

The ways people probably know me as here are:
>”The guy who loves Metroid, Crash, Godzilla and the Fantastic Four”.
>”The “dope!” user”.
>”The Mach Rider poster”.
>”The K.Rool main”.
>”The Ultimate Alliance 3 hater/asshole”
>”The jerk who hates Viridi”
>”The cringe-inducing person who loves Save The Earth”
>”The annoying pile of waste who doesn’t leave anyone on the Ultimate thread alone and deserves a ban”

Maybe I am wrong with some, doh.
or at least that’s what I hope.

I’m also going to briefly comment on some of the ideas that Dragon Quest “wasn’t widely considered likely for Smash” before Verg leaked Erdrick.

Well, spoiler alert, but the Smash character speculation community is actually not all that good at character predictions. Not that that is our purpose or job, but the reason I suspect Dragon Quest wasn’t previously considered is because Smash speculation fans start with their own wants, and then bandwagon other characters that show up here with lots of support.

From what i’ve noticed, most fans here seem to mainly be Nintendo fans with some 3rd party experience. The 3rd party or non-Nintendo series experience is usually pretty typical, so for example Minecraft. Because people have played Minecraft, they like Steve. Enough people like Steve that he becomes a hot topic and suddenly a “likely pick”.

Series that are just as large, if not larger, than 3rd party series already in Smash for whatever reason are left alone. Dragon Quest wasn’t, but it should have been. Similarly, believe it or not, Ryu was never considered likely for DLC last game. As soon as I saw him, I realized what they were going for. The same conversations happened, that Ryu was “unexpected”, despite being the flagship character of the top legacy fighting game.

Cloud is in a tier of his own, but that was because nobody actually thought FFVII would ever be on a Nintendo console, let alone freaking Cloud in Smash. It’s also Final Fantasy, which is a series that, in a celebration of gaming, you can’t leave out.

This is why I and other users have tried to drum up conversation about series like Resident Evil, because the same thing could very well happen with them. Genre defining, multi-media franchises other than Minecraft absolutely have a chance, and they should actually be discussed rather than like 5 minutes and then back to the same 3 characters that ironically come from leaks, those being Steve, Doomguy and Ryu Hayabusa.

>goes to edit my comment.

Lol “briefly”

Tbh, I am glad to see many users here enjoying Dragon Quest Builders after all the Smash speculation involving the series.
I finally feel like many people on the site don’t see DQ fans in a bad way, and I enjoy to talk about the series with others.

In the same way, I really want to try RE2’s remake after seeing the good reception, the suggestions from some users and my interest on getting into the series. It isn’t a case like the one I had with Doom at all where i felt forced. With RE, I’m not being forced and the interest comes from myself.

It is also worth to note that there’s the silent group of the Smash fandom who don’t share their voice on forums or websites, and just act silently.

I could see that working.

So you're the pet guy of this thread.
I have a few ideas for new Banjo-Kazooie worlds.
  1. Mystery Manor (Victorian London/Clue)
  2. Black Magic Bayou (Voodoo/Swamp)
  3. Musical Menagerie (Zoo/Music)
  4. Shinobi Gardens (Oriental Japan)
  5. Dessert Desert (Candy/Desert)
  6. Festival Fields (Click Clock Wood/Fairground/Holiday)
  7. Starstud Square (Hollywood)
  8. Underwater Empire (Atlantis)
  9. Cyberworld (Internet/Arcade)
  10. Moonbase Metropolis (Lunar Colony/Future City)

Just gonna throw a comment out there.

Considering I'm a teacher, yet I'm frequently on the internet and game sites regularly, political conversation seems to pop up quite a bit. It's a sign of the time for sure. I find myself moderate on certain issues, and when it comes to social issues I'm rather progressive. Growing up with a gay brother, and having plenty of issues regarding my medical history, I find that I'm quite compassionate and sympathetic toward the unfortunate stories of others.

What I see on social media, and other places though is a cesspool of people who are unaccepting of others, and it goes both ways. I have family members who certainly have shown themselves to be rude and/or disgusting at some point or another, but they grew up differently. They don't know the same things I know, nor do they have the education I have. I'm the only member of my family to hold a Masters degree, so I have a pretty decent understanding of the inequalities in society. I live it everyday when I work at school and teach students in a high population of people of color, which also happens to have a nearly 100% poverty level. I'm one of the only white, male teachers. I have let them know that I am aware of my privilege a couple of times. They see that from me. I care, and I want to know their stories. Above all else, I listen.

Back to social media...nobody is actually listening to what the other side of the argument is saying. The tweets people make go out there, are eaten up by like-minded people, and then they gang up on people of other opinions, some of which aren't even that bad. For example, the more recent thing I have seen is with Three Houses, and how a twitter account instantly assumed Claude was trans because "he" was never used. A few users asked the account why they believed that, and were met with, "If you even have to ask that, you're transphobic. It's not my job to teach you." No offense intended, but I find it ironic that the idea of "assuming someones gender" is not applicable here. According to that logic, feminine traits on a male must allude to them being trans, and not just a man with feminine traits. Y I K E S from me dawg. Y I K E S.

See, here's the thing. I still don't know everything there is to know when it comes to LGBTQ folks. I support them, and feel that discrimination against them is tragic, and at this point annoying. Things will change, but there still has to be a discussion. If you have a conversation with somebody who has never met a transgender person, and has only heard that it's "weird", then that's exactly what they're going to think. Now, imagine they encounter people who "support" LGBTQ rights, yet instantly berate someone who asks a question and mislabels them as "homophobic, transphobic, etc..." What is that going to enforce or make them think? Is shaming them going to convince them to change? How about telling them their lived experiences are invalid because they aren't the same as yours?

By no means am I defending bigotry in its largest forms. Think about when you've been yelled at before. Think about how it made you feel. Probably not very good. Now, think about how some people do that, and expect others to actively listen and change their thoughts and actions.

I realize this is a Smash website, and some people don't want to talk about it. That's neither here nor there. I usually come here for Smash talk, but some times politics comes up. All I will say is, is that a little understanding and patience, and a willingness to teach others or bring them under your umbrella or love and understanding, can go a long way.

Splitting ourselves into groups based on gender, race, religion, economic class, or ideology will not do that. Treat people with respect until they give you a reason not to treat them with respect on an individual level.
Well, now that that's out of my system.

I seriously need to get on Kingdom Hearts. I basically keep finding ways to not play it and it's working. BUT NO LONGER. I MUST COMMIT SO THAT I CAN START PERSONA 5.
Well said, Scoliosis Jones. I'd like to take one part in particular and give my thoughts.

Respect, true respect, is something you have to earn, but everyone deserves a basic level of human decency: "treat others as you would wish to be treated", and all that.

So I kinda wanted to ask, what do you guys see me as in this thread? Or have I not been around long enough to for you guys to have a solid impression of me?
I imagine you being 25-30 years old or more, since your posts sound pretty mature and reasonable overall.

May as well post this here before anyone else does.
For some reason everyone seems to believe this obviously fake leak, but I know it's gonna be posted here eventually, so I may as well be the first one to post it.

Considering how I like to be treated so to speak, giving people room to breath is what I go by. @Shishœ can testify to this.

Honestly it was the same the whole time I was campaigning for Daisy, previous to me opening up to the idea of Cloud-like non-Nintendo properties. This idea of "oh, that's the ____ guy let's disregard that and get back to how Geno is totally a lock".

Honestly I'm a bit too distracted to give a thoughtful post on par with yours, but I wholeheartedly agree for what it's worth. Not because you mentioned specifically Resident Evil, but because it's more fun here when we think outside the box and don't corner ourselves into one small collection of ideas.

And also because you mentioned Resident Evil.
