Last semester GPA kinda does matter unless you can line up a job before graduation, which some of us did not.

lol my ece290 TA spent the first half of discussion trying to convince our class that our midterm this week was both easier and shorter than previous years' despite our average being 51% vs 56% from last semester.

that said, i'm down to smash tmw or sometime this weekend. i have no class tmw thanks to engineering open house :D

I managed to get a job with Humana in Louisville. I start in about 2 weeks.

That was my 7th on-site interview. It doesn't take most people that many, but that's where a personality would have come in handy.

Congrats too on the job. Getting money is a phenomenal feeling (yes, it's a feeling. you can touch it, can't you?)

sma~sh, anytime after afternoon is good with me. Gotta party like it's the week before Spring Break when everyone's guilted into going home to be with their boring families.

Hey now, I'm from the South -- and Louisville is already sufficiently Southern -- I normally stop there when I go back home, and I still get cheesed off at Southern drivers: everyone's so slow and passive-aggressively excessively courteous. Also, lots o' fatties, lol

So we played Project M a little, and apparently there are a handful of other mods. I just tried Brawl+, and it's ok -- it still have the same crappy physics of Brawl, but your character actually executes the attack immediately when you press the button, so it's like playing Brawl without lag and you're just limited by the natural slowness of the characters (although I only tried Lucario and Ike, so who knows)

Reading the description of Brawl- as pure craziness makes me think it would be a fun thing to try out if we all play later :D

Project M is still the closest thing to Melee (wave-dashing, old smashes and air attacks), but Brawl+ is Brawl (same physics and attacks) that is significantly more bearable.

they stopped working on brawl+ though. the project is dead in favor of project m.

P:M ain't melee, but its got serious potential. too bad it screws up my tech skill for melee everytime i play it.
