what date would be nice for SMYM 11?

I'm planning on getting a MPR at Allen Hall since there is a parking garage right across the street i figure it would be the best place

thing is i need to reserve it probably now and figure stuff now if we want it second semester
give me a good time frame so i can post a topic and see what people want

Only allen hall residents can reserve space at allen hall.

a long time ago we had a small tourney at weston and one of the RAs saw the money and made us give it back cause gamblings not allowed on campus

weren't all the hkn tourneys able to collect money and stuff? couldn't you just make the prizes visa gift cards or something as a workaround if in fact the cash changing hands is a problem?

Yeah, I kinda forgot about the money thing.

There are other RAs, and if one of them who actually knows campus rules catches you, there's trouble. But you are allowed to collect entry fees, and you could distribute the winnings discreetly. Don't make a big announcement out of it.

Still, a non-university venue would be a safer bet.

durand i would just pick a date far in advance like march/april like andy said and post the tourney thread with that date so people can plan far ahead so more people show up

just gotta be sure to not run into any other planned large tournys

thing with picking a date first is that there might not be places available for us to rent out on that date... it's much easier to find the place first and then give available dates

I agree. Now go find a place. I'm going to re-suggest the church on Green/Goodwin. They have a hall upstairs that is hopefully still available for rental.
