U-throw ---> U-air

No, this isnt a thread asking how to SDI fox's Up-throw ---> Up-air. This is about Peach's lesser known variant on the fast fallers.

I dont know why I started doing it, but you can U-throw, U-air the fast fallers at high %. I tested it in training mode earlier today (lack of c-stick sucked, couldnt up air at the perfect time) and the %s are as follows:

Fox - Started around 121%, could be higher with the c-stick

Falco - Started at 127% ("")

Falcon Started at 137% ("")

Tests were done on FD.

Now, I know you could nair, however people are often expecting the nair, and the Uair is almost always a guaranteed kill. my rule of thumb is that if they're over 130%, I can do it.

Just throwing this out there.

I'll take a potato chip....and eat it!!!
Yes, it does work...I was testing it a while back. I also KO'ed Fox with it around 150%. I don't know...I'll mess around with it some more. It's pretty good...but I'd use it as an alternate. to the better options, xD.

Okay...he's probably expecting Fthrow...so I'll Uthrow...but wait I Naired last time...Uair, ftw!!

Something like that...but...not so dumb, xD. I'll let you know what I find out. I want to try it on my friend's Fox/Falco/C. Falcon.

Anything that kills falcon without me having to waste my time edge guarding him sounds good to me.

Okay, I tried it on all 3 on FD

Fox- 120% (I was shocked, too, xD.)
Falco- 130% (I couldn't get it at 127%. However, perhaps with not so great, DI....)
C. Falcon 135% (134% however...didn't cut it.)

I'd say the best uses for it is if you've got them in the middle of the stage. Because Fthrow may not KO them, and Uthorw->Nair may not do the trick, either. Especially if they DI...and are expecting it, xD. Like I said....mixing in Uthrow->Uair would be a nice trick. That is my research, please take it and use it if you can, xD. Lol, we actually found somehting constructive to talk about on the Peach boards after all these years...xD.

Constructive Peach talk, I like it.

The only thing that made me bring it up was when I was watching Cort vs Zhu (<3) and U-throw ---> Nair wasnt working, even on Mute City, and I knew U-throw ---> Uair would've worked almost every time.

You're right, it's just a matter of a mixup. It'd be good to know what it works on for some characters...but I don't think it'll work on a whole lot of them. I'll do some tests on Ganon and see what it's like for him.

I know I can down throw, up air on some floaties, depending on DI, but thats no where near as concrete as up throw, up air.

LOL.. Uthrow > Uair has been used often for sometime now. it's actually the finisher in peach's 0 - CG on spacies.
That what I was doing for the tests...I don't even know why...I just did it because, xD. Still, you're right. I think he means it as an alternate, though. Most people expect when Peach grabs at higher % a Fthrow or a Uthrow->Uair. I guess he just wants to know % on what he could just completely surprise someone with it, xD. I was discouraged from Uthrow->Uair by someone before...*shrugs* I knew it worked...I just never bothered to explore it any further.

cping you to Mute at a MDZ tourney
It'd probably be more useful to start a juggle with
and foxes uthrow-uair can be broken with nair hammering
That's not the purpose of the thread, but I feel like saying so anyway

None the less, I doubt it'll ever be much in an expreienced player's arsenal
probably be the kind of move you pull out once or twice a match, depending on how well it works

Also Dthrow Usmash is your best floatie killer
sweetspot it almost guarenteed

if you get d-throw u-smash with peach your opponent failed very hard.

peach can't nair through fox's uair if they do it right. fortunately, most people are doing it wrong even as we speak so it's often not a bad idea to check to see if they suck at it. if they do, it might save much stock and percentage.

Yeah, nothing in smash is really guarenteed. I mostly use nair to break throw combos, like dthrow to knee.
