Evan you are stupid

How are they copying Sega

What's wrong with it

I was incredibly skeptical when they first showed it, but by the end of the conference, especially hearing what 3rd parties had to say, I'm sold

How are they not copying Sega? It's the same damn thing The vmu did. The technology is just feasible now to do it. The Wii U is horrible. Who the hell wants to play the next Zelda on a Ipad? Just looking at the thing i can feel cramps in my hand. You defend anything Nintendo.

The princapal of the Wii U is exactly the same as the VMU- It's just a difference of 10-12 years of technological progress. Also the fact that the new system is BARELY more powerful then the PS3 means that Nintendo is once again going to be playing catchup when the PS4 and 720 drops in 2013. IT DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A HDD CHIBO!!!!! How can u defend that? It's 2011. Harddrives are standard.

People are also hyping up that HD zelda demo. IT WAS A TECH DEMO. It's not a real game.

Remember Spaceworld?

Now remember what we actually got

And whoever is in charge of naming at Nintendo needs to get fired ASAP.

Edit-Yea Xzax im at work til 8. But i have the next 2 days off.

I don't like it so far from what I've seen. Controller's way too big, plus I'm just not a fan of motion controlled stuff in general..... I wanna sit and play the game, not look like a ****** swinging a big *** screen around.

Smash only needs one new 3rd party character and thats Megaman. There are far too many nintendo characters that still needs to be added.

Wrd I understand they systems are kinda take it too far tryin beat each other in motion sensitivity in anyway shape or form

Yea I think more nintendo characters are needed from seperate series but third parties put them over the edge, it gives games thier extra mile. 1 third party is not enough @ least @ minimum.......4

the kinect is so sexy its makin me forget about my hate for the Xbox

Ev I feel like your missing a lot of the details

Also the new controller isn't required, but after seeing some of the applications and thoughts from 3rd parties, it will be good. But here's the thing, it's compatible with all Wii accessories. Something like Zelda plays more than fine on the Remote + Nunchuk, and it can be used on the new system. However free-ing up screen real estate and prevention from constantly switching screens (which really slows down gameplay) is a great advancement. It's a reason why so many people are welcoming OoT on the 3DS over the N64.

It's still a standard system when all is said and done. Nintendo also isn't going to be playing catch-up as much as you think. We're at a point where graphics are almost reaching their limitations so increases in graphics aren't all that important. The Wii lagged however is because it lacked the now standard technology of HD. Now that Wii U has that, with additional graphic power, it's fine. Notice how neither company mentioned their next system, Nintendo's going to be out before their successors for a long time. If anything, it's the other companies now playing catch-up with their innovative controls to match Nintendo. Sony still can't get the damn move right, and I'm sure we're all IN LOVE with the Kinect after 360's presser <_<

It's funny actually how this can really help hard core games compared to the other companies. They have been touting their graphical prowess, but Nintendo is there now. On the other hand, their plans for controls are well... Well, they slow the games down. 80% of the games we saw using Kinect and Move were designed to be on rails because of how they use their controls. Kinent controls actually look slower with latency and potential problems of recognition while the new screen on the Wii U actually speeds up game play by removing weapon change screens, removing HUD elements, etc. What's faster - swinging your arm to the side to switch to the next weapon in line in your arsenal, or tapping on any weapon in your arsenal (no line required)... The Wii U's technology is what enhances gameplay.

This isn't to say the Kinect is bad, it certainly has its perks. But the Wii U Tab actually enhances hardcore gameplay while the Kinect hampers it.

I feel the same way but I'm pretty sure we won't have to use all those ******** mechanics. Just like Brawl we didn't have to use a wiimote and even if you did use a Wiimote we didn't have to swing for smash attacks.

I wouldn't be so sure about that, Keitaro. A lot of Wii games require the Wiimote/motion control unless you hack them otherwise.... and personally, I'd like to buy a console for more than just Smash (which is basically all I used my Wii for, and it sucked).

I believe that goes with what I'm saying. Most Wii games used the motion gimmicks, just like most Wii U games will use the screen's gimmicks but just like Brawl didn't have the motion gimmicks, I think Smash 4 won't utilize the gimmicks for Wii U. If they don't, I'm going to kill Sakurai. And there BETTER not be tripping!!

The controller is still a problem though. I hold the analog stick with claw for all systems and that controller has that garbage PSP/3DS stick that I f-ing hate.

So.... you're gonna buy a whole new system just for Smash? That's silly, lol. If I would've known the Wii was gonna be a Brawl machine, I never would have gotten it.

Actually, I take that back: that's all you if you think it's worth it. But it still doesn't give the system itself any real merit. ;;

I would personally. I don't really play other games anymore :( so if I'm going to buy any system it would have to be for smash. I love the series that much, although I did buy a Dreamcast for Sonic Adventure and an Xbox for Shenmue 2, oh and a PS3 for MVC3. I'm used to buying a system for 1 game.

The system itself is probably gonna be a load of **** lol, I'm calling it right now :D I might get a couple other games for it but I dunno yet. I don't think I'd even buy a new Zelda on the Wii U. That series bores me now.

There is nothing Hardcore about a 6 inch screen on your controller. There is nothing hardcore about taking your mii on the road with u. There is nothing hardcore about anything that nintendo showed of this new system.

The thing with the Kinnect is that everything is Optional. It's there for the people that wants it. But they still have a normal controller. Nintendo never does anything OPTIONAL. They force their ideas on the gamers. The WII U don't even have gamecube ports. Lmao at tournaments for the next smash everyone having to lug around a tablet in their backpack. Not to mention the Kinnect is making every day activities easier. The 360 is growing out of just a gaming device into a multimedia hub for your entire house.

THE WII U IS JUST A GAMING SYSTEM. All these Bs gimmicks are solely for games. Making gimmicks standard just makes tradiontal games feel weird. But i guess u defend the logic of making DKCR only playable with the wiimote. Not to mention when the wii was first introudced wasn't it hyped up to be the next standard in FPS?? Yea we see how that turned out.

People used that same graphics excuse(It's getting to the point where it cant get no better) Last Gen. Techongly will contiune to improve and graphics will contiune to get better. Im not saying Nintendo wont have the advantage at first. They will. But only 1st party games will utilize that. I gurantee at the system launch every 3rd party game will just be enahnced ports of whatever the big 360/ps3 sellers are for next holiday season.

They said the same thing about 3rd party support for the 3ds. Yet the only games worth mentioning at the press conference were all 1st party games. Nintendo gives us the same BS about 3rd party support every system. And every system we come to realize nintendo systems are only good for nintendo games. Chibo i dare u to name me 5 3rd party games worth playing on the wii.

So.... you're gonna buy a whole new system just for Smash? That's silly, lol. If I would've known the Wii was gonna be a Brawl machine, I never would have gotten it.

Not gonna lie. I bought a Wii solely for Brawl. Nothing interested me at the time the Wii came out. And as of now there are only 5 games on the system worth playing besides brawl

Mario galaxy 1 and 2
DKCR
Sonic Colors
Zelda

Metroid Other M was the biggest flop of this gen Next to FF13.

Classic Controller PRO

there ya go

New things are required, or we'll essentially have 3 systems that are the exact same, which makes no sense.
It does make sense. Software makes the hardware worth it. Not the other way around. If there were 2 identical systems but with a switch to make one play Mario and one play halo then they both have there reason to be out on the market. That is why 1st parties exist.

Evan I'm sorry, but your knowledge and opinions on games makes little to no sense, to the point that it isn't even worth it to respond to your post because of how flawed it is.

Did you even read my post? It's like you didn't and responded to something else your imagination created that you think I would say.

It's not flawed. Your just grasping at everything nintendo is telling u cause it sounds good when history already proved nintendo is the same and will always be the same. It's nothing new.

Not to mention this just came about. If this is true i really want u to explain why the WII U will only support one controller. Now everything u just said will only go to effect for the one person using the controller. Also the system has no Harddrive. Touch screen is not multi touch. Controller has to be in the same room as the system. And the control stick is still the same horrible stick from the 3ds.

Just got back from OCMD and i'm upset i didn't have access to a computer to join in on this E3 convo about the Wii U.

Zelda HD, when it happens, will look beautiful.. no doubt in my mind.

What Ev is saying about the Wii U is the same exact thing people said about the Wii when it was announced "Project Evolution." And look at how hard it was to find for about a year and a half once it actually launched. Stores couldn't keep that thing on the shelf.

The Wii was the first of the next-gen systems to utilize motion controls, then PS3 with the Move, and finally the Kinect by Microsoft. Now how are u gonna sit there and tell me that Nintendo didn't shape the way games are going? They were the first of the big 3 to do it, and the other 2 followed. Now they are again shaping the industry, and once the Wii U launches, Sony and Microsoft will take notes and utilize that idea in their next systems. I guarantee that.

Good Wii titles that are not first party: No More Heros 1 & 2 and Conduit 1 & 2.

No one is doubting the Wii U will sale. I never said it wouldn't. Im saying for people like us who don't care about Mii Party and the likes this is shaping up to be the same thing the Wii did. Empty promises.

You don't make a system that caters around 1 controller but say the whole system is about Multiplayer. It's been confirmed that the Wii U only supports 1 CONTROLLER. While the rest of the people will use wiimotes, classic pads, etc. So the whole presentation they did at the conference only ONE person will experience that.

Of course there will be great First party games. Everyone knows that. If nintendo just came out and said(This is our new system. Were gonna give u mario, zelda, metroid, smash bros and Kirby and your gonna be happy) Ill take that. Cause thats exactly whats gonna happen.

There is not a single person on this board that can name 5 wii games worth playing not made by nintendo. The WII U is gonna be no different. Hell the "3rd party support" They were presenting at the conference is nothing more then expanded versions of the ps3/360 versions.

Nintendo always innovates. I do give them that. But then they are always bested years later. Kinnect is everything the Wii was suppose to be but it WORKS. And they didn't build a whole console around it to do it.

And the Wii U is not "shaping" anything. This controller is nothing more then a more advanced VMU. Sega made this happen. Nintendo just have the technology now to do it right.

3DS might of had the worst launch lineup in HISTORY. And once again this E3 only showed first party titles that are the worth the purchase. But the Vita looked amazing and the price point punched nintendo in the gut. 250$ for the Vita?? Why would i get a 3ds now? Not to mention nintendo is just Stubborn. There is no reason the 3ds shouldn't have a 2nd analog. Thats standard now.

are you really still trying to compare a 1" black and white probably 64x64 resolution screen to a 6.2" full tablet?

Were 6 inch tablets out back then? They serve the same purpose. They shouldn't be shoving a tablet down our throats to begin with. No one wants to play a console game with a controller bigger then a handheld. Can u honestly say that looks comfortable?

Vex my usb cord has the my touch symbol on it. It's mine. And i want to play Arcana Hearts 3!! Think im gonna main Petra

Can you say it's comfortable or not? No, you haven't used it. Would Nintendo make something downright not comfortable? No. What do the impressions from people who played it say? That's it's fine and not bad to hold.

Impressions from people who played it also said it makes no sense for the system to only support one controller. Explain that chibo.
