The Twilight series is freaking awful. I frigging hate that book/movie so much now. All the girls in my school are like, obsessed with it or something.

And now......i really regret picking this User name. At least it's "Twilt," not "Twilight." lol.
Lol at the coincidence...

As much as I hate it... if I had to choose between going to see that movie on a date... and not going on a date.... I would choose to go see it.

lawl...

I wouldn't even pick up the book because it would make me look gay
My school is weird...

The guys are some of the biggest rednecks possible...

And yet I have heard of many of them reading the series.

I wouldn't read it, because regardless of quality (which according to this forum, sucks), it would make me a conformist.

This thread is win.

I guess this fad is everywhere. It's a virus that won't stop until it has reached every corner of this planet. And then people will forget it just like every other fad.

I had to see the movie, it was awful.

This is how it goes: The girl moves to a new school, vampire dude is her lab partner, vampire dude falls in love with her, vampire dude takes her to vampire baseball game, other vampire dude at baseball game knows she's not a vampire, other vampire dude hunts her.

Boring as hell.

Guy in my class went to see it; we all make fun of him now.
Some guy in my class went to see it with my english teacher, I had trouble deciding whether to post this in here, or the "bad things that happened at my school" thread.

Before the movie he was trying to get me to go, and I just told him I hadn't read the books, which is true. He then told me to read the books, that they're REALLY good...

I can't help but feel concerned about the kid...I mean...wow. (nothing against you if you like it!)

I call Twilight a "disease that spreads quickly, and is extremely hard to cure. It has an odd preference to 10-13-year-old girls, as 99% percent of the cases are them. Once they go to see the movie, there is no cure for the patient, who should be euthanized/quarantined to prevent the infection from spreading even faster. Sadly, the disease spreads at an incredible rate, making isolating it, allowing it to be destroyed, very difficult. As such, if you see any infected, stay away from them as much as possible. If there is a shotgun or other heavy firearm around, you should use it to end their miserable and pathetic existence right then and there. If there are no such firearms around, a good old-fashioned curb stomp will suffice."

"I Hope they Serve Beer in Hell" could be a legit book that guys can use to counter Twilight's trend..
idk what else is out there but it could be something that alot of guys can talk about

A guy once said that Twilight is better than James Bond...

Seriously, I bet all the hype is because of that blond guy not closing his jacket at all. Other than that, I do think that Twilight Princess' storyline is better than Twilight's...

I especially hate that Edward guy. He's better than King Leonidas when it comes to good crap to make fun of. His eyes, the whole marble body, his "ZOMG I'm too good for character development" demeanor...

What WAS good about that movie?

....
The advertising that takes place before the movie?

The three reasons why I refuse to get involved with that ****ed series known as Twilight:

1: It's popular, and most things that are popular tend to SUCK.

2: (Barring Dracula) I have never read a book that I've like about Vampires.

3: VAMPIRES DON'T SHIMMER.

That book is an insult to real literature such as 1984 or The War of the Worlds. If some of the great authors of 50+ years ago came back and read this garbage they'd put a pistol up to their head and end their misery.

Yep. What ever happened to actual literature like 10,000 Lieges Under the Sea or To Kill a Mocking Bird and such?

Fix'd for title accuracy.

I honestly know a guy who saw Twilight.

If that weren't gay enough, he said he liked it.

Thanks, I couldn't remember if it was 10,000 or 20,000.

It seems that the standards for a good book have dropped due to fact that (as my friend says) 98% of the Earth's population is stupid.

Pretty much, as evidenced with the popularity of modern hip-hop.
