I would assume Dair camping works well. It keeps you in the air and there is little Diddy can manage to do about that.

Break up Diddy's momentum and don't let him breathe. Use his bananas against him as best you can. Gimp him, though be sure to space properly or you'll eat a boot to the head.

You eat a banana if you try that most of the time.
When Diddy has control over the game, bananas are a really pain in the ***. Your goal is to regain control of it (as MK always should). Once you throw him off his game, you get the chance to use his bananas against him. Read the match-up thread though.

Honestly, the advice people give in the MK forums is so freakin bad.
A couple things that might help with diddy:
How well you deal with bananas is often related to how good you are with items. A lot of competitive smash players suck pretty badly with items because they never play with them. I would recommend learning how to use items better... not just picking them up (although that is a big deal), but also how to throw them and use them well. You can pick up items in the air by airdodging on it, and you can pick up items on platforms easily this way. Learn to glidetoss, and learn to punish your opponent after hitting them with a banana.
When diddy is holding a banana, he can't do much other than throw it. Use that knowledge to your advantage.
Also, when a diddy player is approaching a banana, you can pretty much bank on him picking it up. You can often catch them when they are approaching it.
All those things will help you fight back when getting banana spammed.
As was said before (probably the best advice given), you should try to capitalize on mk's superior air ability, and stay in the air as much as possible. When grounded, use quick tilts and sh fairs to keep him pressured.
Keep in mind that he needs time to pull out bananas. So always keep the pressure on... dont give him a second to breathe and he wont have time to pull out more naners.

i wouldn't say im bad mk, i usally place top 5 its just diddy kongs.. not bragging but yeah ijust hate diddys.. and the banana hits through tornado 80% of the time, and d air camping doesn't work cause diddy can just shield grab, or if you are doing a string, he just fks u up with a banana, and his bananas are hard as heck to pick up =(

diddy kong ***** crappy metaknights but i think meta has a slight advantage in high level play
you just got to take his nanerz but be careful its easy to lure mks into picking them up and then punishing them. Spam tornado and you'll get ***** for being stupid, and don't go overly aggressive either but chase him offstage into oblivion
I think you can pick up the nanerz with short hop dairs, btw have I ever ranked you? you sound familiar, and you just sound like you don't have enough matchup experience so keep at it I can friendly you some time but diddy on wifi is just retarted

Pressure him with Fairs (FF if needed)
dont Nado and dont Drill rush offensively.
Shuttle loop his face if hes pressuring you or F-tilt , D-Tilt.
Gimp him with Dairs and edgehog (if needed) also Shuttle Loop works.
if ypu get a banana dont trhow at him like an idiot. if you keep the banana he will always think you will throw it so think how you can get him. or you can just throw them off stage or throw at him (i ussually glide toss or throw off stage) if you want to play against a Diddy play in FD there you can play him if you learn to play him there you will even better on other stages.
F-Tilts pressuring also helps.

ya i no everything u guys are saying but not everything works.. the diddys I play are all top 32 on ladder and the games are always down to the wire with 1 stock and 100% but i can never win im getting pissed cause i always lose to something that is gey like a banana..

Also MK's glide toss is REALLY good, you just have to know exactly when to press A during it, otherwise you don't slide at all.

Ummm... that entire post I did was "sarcastic" LoLz. I'm a Diddy main, one of the better ones at that. I was just messing with you guys as far as advice goes for MK vs Diddy, just do the opposite of what i previously posted.

I don't main, but I occasionally use MK. If you can't dash attack the bananas(which you should be able to), could you DownB over the bananas if there was enough spacing?

Okay, I guess, I was playing like garbage though and for some reason it was so hard to punish your spamming anyway just don't get pressured or else you can't follow what he's doing. Dair camping isn't always the best idea because diddy can shoot you with peanuts or fair you or Utilt or usmash, or anything really. There's no real sure fire way to beat diddy but you just need to fight him more and you'll learn when to apply everything. If you're afraid you're losing and you just start pressing that B button that's when you've lost the entire match. Yeah, learn to glide toss meta's is very effecient.

The harder he has to work for kills the better. DI is good in this matchup (like all matchups...)
And kill him early. If he has to outdamage you the whole game it could be an uphill battle. One gimp and he has all the odds on his side.
