gimpyfish!!!

youre so dumb why'd you have to invade my topic

this is like Darkmusician going into our sheik boards and spamming

"hey guys sheik is weak"

from what i've seen on this board, zelda is the pretty/beautiful side to sheik's cuteness. people here really love zelda, and i wanna love her too! doesn't nia in my avatar look like zelda too? wow, amazing. <3

Gimpy has a slight point. For someone with the triforce of wisdom, constantly getting captured and falling for Ganondorf's traps is kinda stupid...

Edit: And on a more productive note, choknater how is your Zelda coming along?

I think they did a good job steering away from that in the past few zelda games.

in OoT she, quite wisely, adopted a disguise to hide from ganondorf for years and years despite him having all sorts of power at his disposal to find her. She also managed to help link orchestrate G-Dorf's demise from right under his nose.

in wind waker she was a child, so I think we can forgive her eh?

in TP, she willingly gets captured to save her people.

iunno, seems like zelda isn't dumbly falling into traps... that's peach's job.

Working on that precision. The rest of Zelda's game is honestly quite easy. It's aiming those aerials, FW, and tilts that can really improve my Zelda.

I'm also trying to be more creative by playing matches without usmash and fsmash :p.

I don't think Zelda has ever been dumbly captured once.

LoZ: Was attacked by Ganon's Forces and captured as a result
Zelda II: Was put under a spell from a follower of Ganon, who happened to be her Brother
LttP: The Kingdom of Hyrule was corrupted by the inside by Agahnim, and She and the 6 other Sages were captures as a result. She was rescued early on, but Agahnim found Zelda again when Link was getting the Master Sword.
LA: Zelda Never Existed
OOT: Was never really captured until the end
MM: Never Captured.... or was she? O_o
OoS/A: Had some Cameo's but I don't think she was captured
WW: Forgot what happened...
MC: Never Played....
TP: Was attacked by Zant and Zelda was forced to surrender her kingdom as a result
PH: Never played, but Zelda turned back to Tetra right?

Yeah, Ganon actually seriously plans his capturing of Zelda (Or just gets a REAL army to capture her and go into diplomatic terms of a capturing). Bowser just breaks in her house (Or somehow manages to construct an underground anti-gravitational base right under her castle for years without them noticing TWICE!) or kidnaps Peach on vacation like a common thug!

Bowser should just go to Peach's house, shield grab her turnip, and side-b. Heck, the only thing keeping Bowser from kidnapping Peach is a misread.

LMAO Mmac. I have to say, there is so much truth in that post. Zelda is indeed awesome, and so is Sheik, I use them both equally. They complement each other. But anyway, the way I see it, people can hate on Zelda all they want, makes it all the more fun when I kick their butts. =D

Using f-tilts instead of forward smashes is something I've been meaning to work on, myself. It outranges all those 1% sparklies that fsmash gives out and has just barely shorter range than the final hit. (try spacing yourself against crates on final destination and make it so that fsmash hits while ftilt misses. it's pretty difficult.) So depending on how you're spacing it comes out a little or a lot faster. It also has more follow-uppable knockback, sending them diagonally behind you. The only drawbacks are that the attack doesn't last as long and Zelda has to lean forward to reach that far leaving her hurtbox extended for the move's duration.

Not using up smash or f smash definitely would change the way Zelda would have to move around and follow up on the hits she lands. humm....

Playing without smashes lately is very interesting, I'm finding some of the most useful moves including A jab, dtilt, nair, and of course I'm better at sweetspotting.

A jab, my friends, is a wonderful move.

It happened to be my favorite Zelda move in Melee... I don't think it's as good as it was in Melee (it would stop all forward ground approaches as long as you predicted the approach right.

The drawback with Brawl Zelda's A jab is its hitbox and poor damage... however it's much faster now and its hitbox is a little bit higher... so it can stop short hopped approaches. It functioned very well as a defensive move in Melee, but in Brawl it's a little more offensive.

Just bringing up the Melee reference for comparison ^_^

I like A jab because you can grab or Nayru's Love right after it... or if they block it or something, you can dtilt right away.

I saw people shunning this move simply because it doesn't have a follow up... but hey, besides dtilt it's Zelda fastest ground move, and a quick move like this certainly has situations where it is usable. Basically a "get out of my face" tactic.
