This is the biggest (no pun intended) thing going for Ridley now. Without a doubt, he's been downsized, so that really makes his case as a playable still likely.

Sakurai's track record seems to be in full gauge here. We know he likes to give us menus and silly little bits and bobs when he's either prepping for something big or just doesn't have anything to say.

Personally I'd like to believe it's the former, but it could just as easily be the latter. Updating the site every day with a new picture isn't an easy feat and it means we're going to get plenty of days without interesting or salient information. He does appear to be focusing an awful lot on the less dynamic and exciting aspects of the Wii U version right now, though, which leads me to believe he's just stalling in anticipation of the big news. When that will be and what impact it will have on these leaks I can't say, but I'm certain it'll tell us a lot more that may initially be insinuated by an assorted stockpile of seemingly random pictures.

Back on topic: Do you think Nintendo realizes that after the 3DS Smash has come out, that hype is kind of gone? Sure I know the Wii U version will be better all around, but would they really just leave the Wii U version running on fumes of "It's Smash 3DS in HD! With a new mode." It just seems to make sense to me for a few characters to be held back to ignite hype. I'm just hoping the 900MB isn't being held back for when Amiibos come out. Not sure how much space that would require when finally brought to the 3DS, and I hope they're not banking on just Amiibos to help sell Wii Us with Smash. I want a few more characters. :/

Sakurai is a massive troll, but he's not stupid. Even if ToS isn't real, I can guarantee that he has something up his sleeve
That being said, I'm buying the Wii U version regardless. I can only put up with these controls and small screens for so long. The Wii U one also looks B-E-AUTIFUL. Dat Orbital Gate, dude.

I feel like Sakurai has to work around posting some PotD's because of these "leaks". If he reveals something in one of them that COULD confirm the leak then a lot of people are going to automatically assume that it's real and maybe Sakurai doesn't want that yet. He may have had plans to reveal some things already and now has to give us these lame 3ds and useless Wii U ones instead. I could be wrong though, that's just what I think.

Its entirely possible that this is the case. Remember that little rampage he went on after the 3DS leak? He didn't give us any information AT ALL...or at least- till he had to with Shulk. Hence the name; "Looks like we don't have a choice..."

Actually, I may not have played any Xenoblade games, but wasn't that quote "Looks like we don't have a choice" a line from Xenoblade? I am no expert, but that is from what I got or what I was told.

It's just that Sakurai used that line for that video. Even though it doesn't tie in with it- other then being from that game. It was snide.

Yeah, a lot of people believe he used that quote to title the video because of the leaked footage. (Which was seen by thousands and taken down by NoA multiple times)

Yup it was. I wonder if after solo you select another game mode option and these are the two ways to play it. Suppose it is ToS, one way to get to the top is the way Master Hand makes you go and you fight him at the end and the other is Crazy Hands way and you fight him at the end. That would be interesting. Nonetheless still finally an intriguing PotD!

Would be nice to have some info on ToS (if real), but I'm assuming that if the leak is real, Sakurai would do his best not revealing anything about it, or some of the accurate stages to keep us all guessing until the last minute (probably 1-3 weeks prior). Of course, this could correlate with it (again, if real...which I really hope it is), but who knows at this point (other than Sakurai). But yeah, this is a nice, non 3ds related PotD.

Yeah, the top that's blurred out could be Smash Tower, maybe? Not after the Master/Crazy, but up on the top of the image that shows they're in solo games. If it's Smash Tower then it could be different versions of playing it. Maybe one is easier than the other?

I assume such, Crazy has more loot next to it after all. Maybe someone can analyze what the text could be and see if it fits with ToS? Idk, that's probably asking a bit much.

We already know from the announcer clips on the ROM that these are options for "Master Order" and "Crazy Order". It's anybody's guess what exactly is being "ordered".

That's if Tower of Smash is Multiplayer, like Smash Run, as I'd assume that if it was a singleplayer mode, it'd just get put into the Solo area alongside Classic and All Star. Again, who knows (other than Sakurai of course).

I believe there are multiplayer options in the Games & more section on 3DS, but I may be wrong. Whatever the case, this kind of tease definitely suggests there's a bigger info dump coming, perhaps in a direct. Hopefully sooner rather than later so this can all be put to rest.

Yeah, you're probably right. But does this confirm 8 player smash and Smash world? I'm leaning more towards yes

Yup, if ToS is real, it'll most likely be located in the green button, like smashrun on 3ds.
