@ SheerMadness: Maybe with YOSHI you dont see such difference?

Delay affects each character in a different way. For example, Mario and DK are good to play on high delay, IMO. I dont know about yoshi as i never use him.

And I think you can meet malva in person by playing him on emu in a local area network

^^^ How is Yoshi good on high delay. Think about using ness and trying to DJC in major delay (not to mention also trying to Parry and DJCC opponent combos).

It is why i mostly use Falcon if I am playing on the Euro server.

Falcon is amazing on high delay.

I think Link is pretty good on high delay because edgeguarding is harder and his Up-B is pretty good at hitting things. Also, projectiles.

actually ur right oh hey my Link does pretty good at high delay too time to change the 7 frame delay tier list

1. Link
2. Yoshi
3. Pikachu
4. Mario
5. JigglyPuff
6. Fox
7. Luigi
8. DK
9 Ness
10. Kirby
11. Falcon
12. Samus

on second though most of my characters do well on high delay so i think the best 7 frame delay tier list is

1. luigi/mario/dk/link/samus/falcon/ness/yoshi/kirby/fox/pikachu/puff

guess MATTS! was right after all CHARACTER = CHARACTER even on high delay what a genius

lol ok i get ya.

Can someone tell what makes falcon so good on high delay? He relies a lot on speed and precision, along with some other char like Fox, its something that high delay can totally change
On the other hand mario and luigi are slower chars that dont feel the change so much imo

Hm I'd say not that easy on 7 frames considering the possible DI but what about the rest of the stuff? Playing falcon isn't doing the uair combos non stop. A fast char like him can be really affected by delay imo. Lots of fast stuff is very difficult to do

From my Galaxy64 experience on 10 frames I'd say the least affected chars on high delay are

1. Mario
2. DK
3. Luigi
4. Kirby
5. Pikachu
6. Samus

im tired of hearing all this ******* ****. As an online player myself for pretty **** long everyone knows I am credible for what I have to say because im super l33t lets not lie. But i did stop playing online and transition myself to pretty much just console only. I swear to god its like nearly the same ****. I play well both off and online. Seeing as i was from the west coast i always played on 9 frames and up...majority of times its even 11 frames and i would still play well. Yes you do gotta get use to online if ur playign console alot and vice versa but its nothing to ******* cry about. I got all my skillz from online and i incorporate it to my console game very efficiently. I play just as good online if not better then console but in the end the results carry over and are the same. I think its really pretty much the same. Yes there is delay blah blah blah who cares. Both sheer and malva are right in their own ways. Hows that?! You guys act like you guys get nerfed super hard yet all yallz are still l33t. Stop ******* crying if you missed a z cancel or ****** up some timing. YOURE still good...geez

The censor is so ****ing lame why can't we turn it off.

Now it's hard to understand tigerbombz's post
The owners want this to be a "family friendly" site, even though you need to be 13 or older to register (or fax in a signed parental consent form LOL)

Yeah, it's ridiculously dumb. They're just ****ing words. Replacing them with asterisks really doesn't make it any better.

FWIW, they're just complying with the law (which, IIRC, basically states something like it's illegal to ask for e-mail addresses if you're <13 years old). I wonder if Smashboards has ever actually received a completed parental consent form.

Of course, they could simply not allow people under 13.

And they could disable the censor.

I would agree with censorship for words in other boards such as Brawl's (lets face it, they have a fair few <13 yos :p), but in a place like 64 discussion we are all mature enough to not be deeply hurt every time someone types a naughty word.

However I do appreciate Blue Yoshi and his striving to be the best moderator by folowing the rules by the book, but I think there should be some leniency in our case.

Agreed, in most cases, it's not infraction worthy, but... well, I think everyone can agree that Tigerbombz's post was well over the line. As long as no one makes any posts like that (you know what I mean...), there won't be any problems. I'm a very lenient mod (probably too lenient compared to others lol), so unless something major happens, the worst you'll get is a warning (unless I warn you over 9000 times...).

yeh i agree that censorship is so stupid, its like trying to ban prostitution and porn, it will always exist no matter if some people dislike it a lot

i dont think smashboards is censoring cause they don't like it but more like trying to keep those bad words off the peepers from youngin' kids but it's not like they don't know about those words already either

oh well

Yea, I think it can be useful in promoting positive talk. The only problem is that people aren't always trying to be negative when they curse. Here they're usually just joking around about whatever. Unfortunately that will always be the association, but you can understand the motive, from the perspective of a "professional community." Although, just not allowing <13yr olds is a great idea.-Never thought of that.

The problem is that it makes **** hard to understand because you dont get to see any of the letters and a lot of swear words have the same amount of letters.

Also sometimes it's like "hmm what swear word has 7 letters?" and you have to think about it to realize that it's ******* , or maybe not since ******* has 7 letters also
