-How can you play smash bros with this fruity song playing? They could've put in the Dark Cave theme or the G/S Rival but they choose this instead. WTH? It's not even remixed either. I understand Pokemon is nowhere as popular as it used to be but that doesn't mean they have to make its representation suck so much so that we'll hate the game series even more.

I have Sonic Boom permenantly on my Green Hill Zone. Why you ask? I can tolerate it, my friends can't. Easy win.

And Clu Clu Land...that awful game show reject of a song...actually...anything on Summit besides Ice Climber and Shin Onigashima...those two rock.

"Sonic Boom" actually is a good song in my opinion, mostly cause it's the theme to Sonic the Hedgehog CD, which is probally the best 2D Sonic game. I also find it very catchy. Apparently, people either love it or hate it.

I have nothing against lyric-based songs in video games, it's just that most of the songs with lyrics in Brawl are plain awful.

As much as I love me my Death Egg Zone, Angel Island, Green Hill Zone, Casino Nights, etc, etc Sonic classics, I have to admit that new Sonic music that tries to be "RAWK" or "HARDXCORE" brings me physical pain.

Ashley's song makes my ears bleed.

The only exception off the top of my head is the DK Rap. If you don't appreciate it, clearly you never appreciated DK64

Anyways, I'm not a fan of most of the selection of Sonic music that was put into Brawl. Angel Island Zone, Green Hill Zone, Sonic Boom, and Live and Learn are the exceptions... Did anyone else find that most Metroid songs weren't as good as one might have imagined to be? Really, the only one that sticks out is Vs. Ridley, and that's it.

Yes! Honestly, that Norfair music is not only not similar to the original, but there are much better songs that could've been put in. Uh, hello, Lower Norfair/Magmoor Caverns? There are a few good tracks, but most of them don't stick out (except for 'Theme of Samus', which is actually the Theme of Super Metroid...), not even Vs. Ridley. It's not a very good remix, if you ask me -- it sounds so...bland.
There are definitely better songs that could've been in. What honestly inspired them to put in such an unmemorable song as Vs. Parasite Queen? It's not bad, but there are much better options...I know it fits the stage, but still. That stage wasn't really a good choice either. I'm beginning to get the feeling Sakurai has never played a Metroid game, or he'd know that Norfair has NOTHING to do with Metroid except for the doors in the background. Remind me of the last time you saw waves of lava in ANY Metroid game.

And I agree with the people about Metroid. I though think that Sector 1 is good, as well. But that's the only one. What about Kraid's Chamber? They used it back in Melee, why not a good remix with it alá Zero Mission (with chants and stuff) for Brawl? Why none of the highly awesome Super Metroid music, except the (not really good) Ridley remix and the Main Theme? Where is Metroid II? Zero Mission's Pirate Ship? Why Parasite Queen - one of the least memorable tracks in the series?

I think the music for Metroid could've been so good if remastered.
