Ooh I want to play... Whilst staying on topic

When Brawl comes out we should form an online clan thing.
I'm all about that, and I'll make significantly fewer gay jokes toward Plan and Dante if we do.....maybe. ok PEACE BISHES!!!!!!

Fox got his helmet back, but what does this have to do with Nook? Shouldn't that be in the Krystal/Wolf thread?

Oh well can't say I was extremely on topic either, but I sure do love Nook.

Wow, this has gotten REALLY off topic. Allow me....

Since Nook's so awesome, it's only natural that we'd have to unlock him. How do you think this should be done?

you have to get 10,000 coins and put em in the lottery.

Nook be expensive
Just like Nook to take our money

I think maybe something like collecting coins. you know the event match where Ness fought Captain Falcon in coin-Melee, maybe somehting like in one of those event matches

Listen, who the **** said there was going to be a shop keeper? No one.

Why would there be one? For trophies? Maybe, but odds are if trophies come back it'll just be a little 'gum-ball machine' of sorts again.

To buy characters and stages? Why? You having trouble earning them, or something? Cuz the system that's been in the last two games has worked just fine.

this isnt budokai lol. No Mr. Popo selling you brawl moves and stages.

Unlocking stuff through event matches vs. mode and other such things is working just fine.

What about the Nook shop logo? It's pretty "obvious".

The one at the left.

I would definately love to see Tom Nook in Brawl. The Animal Crossing franchise has already become one of Nintendo's biggest, so much so that it's getting it's own movie come this December. It deserves some rep in Smash outside of a couple of trophies. Besides, now that I think about it, I really want to see a fight between Tom Nook and Solid Snake. You can't help but laugh at that

I would love to see him in there, but to be honest, it sounds like a stupid idea for him to actually fight. I can see him as kind of a side character, like with the lottery, (in melee, im just saying if its in brawl here) he could just be a guy at the desk or something

I'll bet you would have said that about Jigglypuff in the first Smash, and again about Mr. Game & Watch in Melee. The point is it doesn't matter if they look like they can fight or not. They can work in Smash Bros whether they look it or not.

Also, Tom Nook's super: Slum Lord Attack! Okay, yeah, so it's just a comic, but picturing him fighting's a little easier now, right? Or not... still funny...

Tom Nook is without a doubt the worst suggestion to go into SSBB. Yes, he represents a Nintendo owned franchise that is very popular and on the rise, but c'mon, there is NOT ONE character from Animal Crossing that fits the bill to be in ANY fighting game.

Jigglypuff came from an idea where the entire POINT of pokemon is to have creatures that FIGHT. Even though she is a pink marshmellow with very little actual cool powers, she is still in the fighting genre. And game and watch is a STICKMAN. Are you going to tell me its hard to come up with a moveset for a character who is not bound to any actual 3 dimensional attributes? Making up moves for Game and Watch must have taken a long time only because he can do ANYTHING THE USE WANTS.

Tom Nook, on the other hand, is a character already set in stone as a salesman of a game where there is not one bit of a fightign sense present.

He is a horrible choice, and you, sir, are an idiot.

Don't double post.

ANYBODY can fit into Smash Bros. Odds are, if they can't fight in their game, they will be kickass in Brawl. Tom Nook fits this, and can fit into Brawl, just like anyone else.
