i love when people ask me technical questions because they're always easy to answer. i don't love when people drably ask "wut am i dong wrngggg" and i give them a MEDIOCRE answer they could find anywhere. if you want real advice ask real questions.

Just like with everything else, getting better requires one's own effort, so I generally tell people to solve their own problems, unless it's something that they can't find out on their own for one reason or another (lots of inexperience, the problem actually being difficult, etc.).

that too

when it comes to technical things or questions about the game itself you should never be shy to ask. those questions are easily answered by anyone thats good at this game and doesn't take us any effort at all. it's great to ask those kinds of questions imo.

The best way to get better is to go to tournaments & smashfests to gain experience and amass as many tactics, strategies, and techniques as you can so that you have a vast repertoire to call upon in any instant where you need to change-up your style because someone has started to figure the prior one out.

Experiences and the ability to learn from those experiences are what make great players great.

I completely agree with lovage and westballz 100% on specific techniques, only as long as all options are covered for those techniques. Lovage using the analog stick for everything would make it hard for somebody to learn how to do say a drop waveland from ledge because **** using the analog stick for that haha.

If anything I'd talk about the psychological aspects of offense, defense, spacial awareness, and momentum. That's just me though.

EDIT: Yeah, what Fly said hahahaha.

Bump~

I'm in the bay area for the next 6 weeks for an internship. Belmont, specifically. I don't know where to begin looking for people to play smash with so I figured this might be a good place to advertise. If anyone is somewhat near me and down for some playtime let me know!
