Tink is a VERY campy character. In a few MUs (olimar comes to mind) aggression it highly rewarded. In others (MK snake ICs) the camp game must be thoroughly implemented for success. All in all TL is a campy character who benefits from bursts of well-timed aggression.

Pretty much this. Playing aggressive is just reading your opponent honestly. If you watch Hyro vs RoyR, thats one of the perfect examples of a TL playing the aggro game correctly. He reads shield drops so well. Playing defensive will honestly land you more victories and you can still read your opponent. Your reads are much more passive at this point though. TL doesn't have the luxury of being able to apply good pressure up close constantly and a character like MK could get away with doing this throughout the match. You would basically have to read your opponent during most of the match if you wanted to seal the deal. When TL loses momentum, its really hard to get it back.

dont do it to urslef. u will live a life filled with regret if u decide to main TL. youll always say what if my character wasnt so bad.

TL is gettin boring for me. im waiting for one of u scrubs to get better so i can have something to prove or wat not. MJG aint cutting it as my only competition anymore.

Past the gimmicky gimp %s dsmash has virtually no use....untill about 130-150% then it becomes a decent kill option that wont be stale. But then again so is utilt.

If there is one thing I can say (and it should be easy for you to apply because TL)
If you aren't 100% safe in doing something, don't do it
If you MIGHT be able to get a punish, but if you are wrong you get hit....don't bother
Brawl is about not getting hit more than it is about hitting them
The safest characters (or the most broken risk/reward) are the best
MK can poke forever safely and then gimp offstage for high reward low risk, ICs are always low risk high reward
Diddy is super safe with banana toss, and Olimar is super dumb because pikmin throw and lagless u-smash
They can afford to go in because they won't get punished

You will get punished since TL isn't that fast, so if you aren't sure, just back out. Go back to neutral position, TL is one of the best characters at it because you infuriate people

That really explains why I suck at TL. I'm never safe when I play. Then again, playing with explosives isn't necessarily safe now is it?
