I wish I could've brought my phone with me though. Saw so many people and the torch aswell seeing more smexy ladies.

I can't really say, I stopped watching because I couldn't see any TL action. I just went to Guild Wars instead.

I placed 7th out of 40 yesterday.
[COLLAPSE="tourney-ment report"]I was playing pretty well for the most part. The tourney hosts put me on livestream twice, so those matches might get uploaded. Ironically, these two matches were the matches where I played like trash and lost... first was vs BC and the next was against a diddy player whom I've consistently beaten at several tourneys for the last two years in MMs. I was 4-0 with him up until this point in serious sets so I literally said quietly out loud to myself "I got this" when I heard I had to play him. My mistake was going into the match expecting a free win and not thinking proactively/adapting to his habits. I'll beat him next time though. Mindset is really important in tourney. I guess it's good to be confident and think "I can beat this person," but at the same time, one cannot simply dismiss his opponent as an easy win and sandbag.
As for BC, I always end up playing him practically at the start of the tourney (this time I got him round 2). He went metaknight round one and I got him to last stock, I don't remember what %. Then he went Falco round two and I had a lead for a brief moment but then I started to mess up and throw unsafe boomerangs, etc. I still have trouble vs MK and Falco (and yes I will tell you that I have every reason to be bad against MK - because he's BS and should be illegal but KT will say otherwise). I get the diddy MU and I don't think I've ever lost to a Diddy before. After all, I just 2-0'd one at SKTAR. This was absolutely an anomaly in my performance and will never happen again. I suppose if any of you have some of the more advanced MU insight on Diddy I will take it...but I need the most help with MK and Falco.
So here was my bracket:
Omega Tyrant: 2-0. free win. (Wolf/Dedede)
BC: 0-2. I played badly/have matchup johns.
Fuzzy: 2-0. lucas lol. free win.
Kid Craft: 2-1. He's good...game 2 he gimped me. I did a lot of stupid stuff but he didn't always punish so whatever. (Sonic)
Peachkid: 2-0. I think this is a decent win considering he was on the PR. He clearly had no idea how to fight Toon Link.
Sails: 0-2. I covered this. Won't happen again.

to get over those bad matchups and for fun. I use so many secondaries, Pit, Captain Falcon, Sonic, DDD, Pika, Wario.

Mainly for fun like vipergold said. I like helping my scene out as well. I started off using some of the characters that im using now so that I could figure out how those characters work exactly. The only character that I can use that would probably help more than TL is MK (since its MK). I'm not gonna be using MK in the future though (outside of teams when he is legal).
At apex, were probably gonna just run double TL. Bout to go in.
That's very smart, to know your enemy is to beat your enemy. I've actually been thinking about doing that the past few days because I realized the reason why I've done so well in more recent times is because I know how most characters are commonly played (to some extent). I'm thinking of picking up Diddy Kong and G&W since those MUs destroy me. If I can learn them, then I will most likely be able to beat them and then I will have smooth sailing from there.
