MJG, I think wifi helps. Even if you have to move a second earlier than you usually do, it's still brawl and it's practice.

If wifi is totally useless I think a lot of us would be significantly worse.

It is useless when your connection is very terribad

Well...let me rephrase.

When you're playing in a playable connection, wifi is still practice and it is beneficial to your progress.

I am definitely better now than I was before I started playing wifi.

The only good thing that comes from wifi is MU experience.

Even then its not that good because your opponents, once again, cannot:

1) Powershield your projectiles.

and you, as TL, cannot:

2) Move as fast as you would like.

3) It creates bad habits due to the fact that you can't be punished as easily.

4) Your spacing is completely screwed.

Trust me...I would know better than most people... I did play strictly wifi about a year ago and even though I still play it here and there, I don't use TL nearly as much because of how badly it hinders his true potential.

I did play strictly wifi about a year ago and even though I still play it here and there, I don't use TL nearly as much because of how badly it hinders his true potential.

Then what do you do in the time you have before a tourney?

Do you have people to play who live near you?

Um...I have a few brawlers...the only people that live next to me that truly help me are Fino (an olimar main) and stealth raptor (a pikachu main).

For the most part, I play against lvl 9 CPUs and just make sure to try and keep my spacing throughout each match.

All this time I've been thinking playing CPUs would be detrimental because they rollspam and do weird stuff...

If it's better than playing wifi against other players in a decent connection then I might start doing that 0:

Wifi can help with MU experience. Thats about it.

Once you learn the match ups from the tourne viable characters, I would try to limit your game play with toonlink to offline play.

EDIT: Lobobobob. There is a tourney I went to last weekend but the results page is STILL not up. Ill IM you in the near future.
