I amSHUT UP! YOU KNOW HOW SENSITIVE I AM ABOUT THAT!
Moral of the story:Also how can we mention same sex relationships in Fire Emblem without mentioning how Gaius took Chrom out during the night to "have a little fun" and to help him "loosen up".
If there is one thing I learned about RPGs, it's that rogues are only good at three things, and this time it's not picking locks or stealing.
I don't want it to!Don't worry, it'll all be over soon.
Who you callin' unattractive Groot face?!And if you're unattractive, that disqualifies you from being anything but an axe-wielding ruffian or encased in knight armor.
People are free to identify as whatever gender they want, as far as I'm concerned.
But when you start saying you're a dragon kin or a cloud or something, that's where I have to draw my line in the sand.
Is there any reason we're having an LGBT discussion here of all places? Don't we have an entirely separate forum on the forums for just such a topic?
I don't come to a place like SmashBoards or SquidBoards to engage in thoughtful political discussion. In my opinion, Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Libertarians, Liberals, Conservatives, LGBT, abortionists, pro-lifers, hippies, 2nd Amendment supporters, gun grabbers, politics and whatever the **** else I might have missed have no ****ing place in Video Games (And for the record, I DID list myself in that list, so don't think for one second that I'm only attacking things I disagree with). This is video games. I come here to escape reality, however fleeting it might be, for good honest silliness. Not thoughtful discussions on Gay-rights or anything else for that matter. To me, your political viewpoints, your sexual orientation, your religion and your race mean **** to me. You're a gamer, you're a nerd, you're a geek. That's all it is. And that's all I want it to be. A wise man once said that the three greatest topics of discussion for losing friends are personal finances, religion and politics. More often then not, politics includes the other two these days. I'd rather not see this escalate into something worse.
So can we please leave this stuff out of our banters and discussions?
Video games are about goofiness and silliness. The aforesaid isn't.
Ironically you are posting in a social thread, a small fraction of the threads on an otherwise video game based board outside of the aforementioned forums. Is there any reason we're having an LGBT discussion here of all places? You have been here long enough @ Chapter Serf to know the nature of the Robin forums. These discussions were taking place long before you joined and that's not going to change any time soon, if at all. And unlike the vast majority of the internet, this is a safe place to discuss these things in a mature fashion so you honestly can't blame people for occasionally wanting to discuss these things here.Is there any reason we're having an LGBT discussion here of all places? I realize that, and I noticed that pretty much everyone who was discussing it was of one mind. I'm just worried that next time it won't be so smooth. Are you forgetting that this is a social forum?
Besides, the discussion wasn't hurting anyone, nor were there any arguements spurred from it.
Um...when has there ever been real conflict here besides Soul Blazer?I realize that, and I noticed that pretty much everyone who was discussing it was of one mind. I'm just worried that next time it won't be so smooth.
These past few pages on gender identity discussions have been quite educational for me. I myself haven't really thought about it much until a few years ago when an old friend from high school underwent a gender transition. When the news got to me and my friends, I'm ashamed to say the results were not pretty. And while I never rejected her and even invited her over to have Thanksgiving over with some us, I regret still to this day not being able to say anything to my friends who did reject this entire notion of gender identity being different from one's biological makeup and such.
I am still trying to understand it for myself and how to talk about it, especially as a religion teacher at a Catholic school. It's clear, though, now I need to do more inquiring and research. Thank you everyone.
"Time to tip the scales!" - Robin Social Thread
These usually aren't safe topics to touch, but the Robin Social thread is mature enough that we won't see any fighting over it. It's all in good faith. Is there any reason we're having an LGBT discussion here of all places? Don't we have an entirely separate forum on the forums for just such a topic?

At some point I said something along the lines of "I wouldn't alert the guards if Rennac picked my locks and broke into my treasury if you know what I mean."Actually, ain't all thieves in FE-series pretty sexy and plain cool men, actually?
Even the pint-sized kid rogue's got it.
You really don't have anything to worry about. As others here have already said, the people in this Social are mature enough to respect one another's opinions on matters and won't come down to any unnecessary arguments.I realize that, and I noticed that pretty much everyone who was discussing it was of one mind. I'm just worried that next time it won't be so smooth.
Yes?
Uuuhm?

Matthew: Legault. What was your nickname in the Fang? What kind of work did you do?Also I never looked at Legault's character before. That pose.
He knows it.
I'll be blunt about this:Yes?

Oh sorry, I didn't the understand the reasoning and the connotation behind your "uuumh?" especially given the character in the pic you posted. Thanks for clarifying.I'll be blunt about this:
A Social thread is exactly what it says in the tin - it's about socialization. Which means we share topics and subjects to talk about together. Each of these are bound to create something new between each other.
Even if it's mostly chaotic or nonsensical if specifically talking about our social thread.
I haven't really, tbh. Also am I the only one here who hasn't been following if too closely?
It will be a long while before it ships abroad. I ****ing love Fire Emblem but I can't help but feel if I hype myself up about it too soon, I'll suffer waiting for it to come out.
Yea I haven't followed it too hard myself either. I know if I get too into things I'll end up praying to my IF shrine every night hoping that Nintendo releases it every day until the day actually comesAlso am I the only one here who hasn't been following if too closely?

Personally I'm quite happy to see my prophecy on the direction of weapons coming true. That is to say, that they took durability out of the equation and kept the weapon management system deep and complex without it.I haven't really, tbh.
But I still GET HYPE AF when I hear good news about it.
Feliciaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
No idea.Personally I'm quite happy to see my prophecy on the direction of weapons coming true. That is to say, that they took durability out of the equation and kept the weapon management system deep and complex without it.
Also, has there been word if the whole babymaking system is gone?
Probably for the best. I myself felt like a tyrannical matchmaking dictator in Awakening and I didn't like any character THAT much to actually happily give over my Robin (male and female) over to marriage. No idea.
Although afaik there doesn't seem to be any sort of timeskip or time travel shenanigans so I would say that signs point to yes for it not being a thing.
That's what I gathered as well, but feared there could be some kind of Outrealm shenanigans. No idea.

Well I sure did.Probably for the best. I myself felt like a tyrannical matchmaking dictator in Awakening and I didn't like any character THAT much to actually happily give over my Robin (male and female) over to marriage.
But let's not forget the gems that came from it.Probably for the best. I myself felt like a tyrannical matchmaking dictator in Awakening and I didn't like any character THAT much to actually happily give over my Robin (male and female) over to marriage.
