On a personal level, I much rather side with Hoshido.
Aside from being a peace-loving person, I also don't like the concept of entitlement to the one's who raised you. If I bent as little as a knee to the family that raised me, I'd be in the ground, repressed, and a puppet to cruel agents. Likewise, for the child I have raised... I expect absolutely nothing of her. If she had to decide between me and her birth family, I would want her to choose what she thinks is best because I love her.
Hong drama aside, I'm going with Hoshido first for gameplay reasons, as it is the easier of the two and I want the surface level of story first. Nohr will be no doubt more complex and harder to both play and understand, so naturally it holds greater intrigue and it will motivate me to want to play again for a more interesting story.
You like Dittos?
Dude. Me too.
You're front right and centre in the picture of my heart.

I must know what that chest your avatar holds contains! Pretty please?
... I'll show you, and only you. But you must promise not to tell
anyone.
As you can see, what I have in here is truly extraordinary... It's absolutely imperative that I deliver this without hesitation.
