AW man, you guys get to play so many games that I wish I could .

The new Fire Emblem game is really the only game that I am hyped for now. I don't have a Wii U so I can't play the games anway, although being a Zelda fan, I am very curious how the new Zelda title will play out. Hopefully my favourite villain will return and shine this time as he has been absent for a long time(A Link between Worlds doesn't count).

Why doesn't ALBW count? It is a new Zelda game and only came out 2 years ago (whoa, I feel old now).

Why doesn't ALBW count? It is a new Zelda game and only came out 2 years ago (whoa, I feel old now).

I meant Ganon's appearence. Yuga was drawing all the attention to him(literally) and Ganon was just there as a small cameo. It was something new of course but all this Yuga taking over Ganon's power thing makes me wish Ganon never appeared in ALBW because it makes him look like a puppet. I don't mind new villains, though.

Anyway, has anyone here played Fantasy Life?

My friend was super excited about it and even bought it for me, and apparently it's cult hit, but...
I think it's kinda boring as hell.

And I have only played through one of the non-combat based Lifes.

I have like a billion hours across multiple files. It's pretty fun. Try a combat Life.

Ah yes, I see what you mean. Yuga was still pretty cool though. As was a certain other character for that world that I won't say as it is a big spoiler. Though I hope you know who I mean XD.

I did. I have mastered the Paladin, Mercenary, Carpenter, Magician and Hunter Lifes, and got God rank in Hunter.
I dunno. While the combat is fun, the rest of the game is one big chore list and it's a little boring.
Not to mention there is so much dialogue like omfg. Ahem.
The music is hit or miss, ranging from catchy and memorable (the battle theme, the exploring at night theme) from grating or generic (Port Puerto theme, Town theme).
The story is sort of lame and also rather generic.
I like the characters a ton, though. They're all really entertaining. Fern is like <3

You literally got full value from this. Not sure what you are expect anymore unless you plan to get the Creator rank in all Lives.

That said, Fantasy Life does indeed have its flaws. Way too much text, and I actually hate about half of the characters. i don't know why Pierre and Butch are even around after the beginning of the game. I can't believe the writers still forced me to see their stupid faces all the way until I departed for Lunares.

Do you mean Link's counterpart Ravio who confronted Hilda or Hilda herself?

Yuga is hilarious and I enjoyed him as a villain but like I said Ganon's inclusion was unnecessary(all he wanted was the Triforce of Power) and it protrayed Ganon really badly. The King of Evil should not be taken over by anyone, dammit. If you can't protray a character right, you shouldn't include him at all as he serves no purpose of what he should stand for and he becomes an empty character. That is why I like Wind Waker so much

With that said, ALBW is the only game along with Majoras Mask where I managed 100% completion. (OoT being close but I suck at fishing so I only get 19 hearts) and the Zelda games I enjoyed the most were WW and Majora as those 2 are the deepest story wise and not your typical princess rescue.

Wind Waker in particular has a nice analysis which makes the game deep http://www.zeldainformer.com/articles/the-philosophy-of-the-wind-waker.

It is very long so I don't blame you if you Tl;dr it but it's really worth it.

Ya. I can see what you mean. Ganon is suppose to be the King of Darkness yet he can be over taken my a Ghirahim knockoff? IT does seem kind of silly. I still love the game though .

Set the game to the time of Demise's first attempt to steal triforce. He probably had Ghirahim do all the work while he was staying on some random tower he created. I remember reading there was a Link during that time who died before facing Demise. Who could have did him in? None other than the Demon Lord himself, Debbie Ghirahim.

Plus, that gives him two games under his belt. Three if you count Hyrule Warriors.

Yeah, that's true. My master file has Creator on all ranks and I'll admit the game is more fun when don't have Life-restrictions on gear.

UGH. It's one thing to have a character you don't like. It's another to have to see them all the time and read their walls of text. Shame on the writers for adding text that literally has zero consequence to it. Text that does not tell you anything about the story, the characters, or serves and purpose later on.

There are cute designs for sure, though. I like Yuelia in particular.

- Beautiful Skyward Sword artstyle but in 1080p
- Story is about the epic clash between Hylia and Demise's forces
- Link is a stoic badass commander
- Motion controls scrapped for methodical involved swordplay like Twilight Princess or Dark Souls
- Better dungeon variety
- Seamless over world like NES Zelda
- GHIRAHIM OMG

I would literally sell my soul to Nintendo.

I'm none too pleased that mine was delayed for a couple months, but it isn't as bad as a flat-out cancellation. This whole thing stinks.

I did get the Shulk Amiibo preordered and will get it in may so that's good. I talked to a GameStop employee recently and he said that I could preorder for the second wave of Ike later this spring, which is probably way after S.T.E.A.M comes out. As long as I have an Ike I'm OK though.

I've been waiting for an Ike figurine for years and when they finally release one, SOL.
