I'll admit, I wouldn't know 100%. Ask me tomorrow after I've had a chance to play Awakening (which I'm getting tomorrow, God willing). Along with a 3DS.

Just be listening for accordion music while you play. The connection should become apparent.
You see, Robin's leitmotif is the song Id, a recurring melody throughout Awakening, with many variations. The main instrument in most of the variations is an accordion. Curiously enough, accordions are not used in any other part of the Awakening soundtrack; they are exclusively used in the Id songs. As such, the instrument could be considered Robin's signature instrument.
Well, it does help that he appears in Robin's Final smash in such an awesome way.
Anyway, more wallpaper:
I'm running out of ideas, it seems :v I still liked these, though.
If anyone has a opinion or an idea, please say it 8D
As a side note, the more I finish Awakening, the less Robin feels like an Avatar. I have no idea why people call him Avatar sometimes :v The protagonists from the Suikoden series, or even silent protagonists in general, like Crono from Chrono Trigger, for example, feel more "Avatar"-ish than he ever will, imo, since you can actually project your own personality into these characters. "My Unit" makes more sense, but it's still strange. Sometimes I wonder why they even let you customize Robin's appearance, trying to give you a false sense of him being an Avatar, when he obviously has his own personality (and even a big role in the plot!) in the game. Stuff like being able to choose the gender is good, though. (and that reminds me that even M!Robin and F!Robin have sightly different personalities!)
No really, I can't see my own projection into Robin at all, Heck, even OC/Self-inserts Awakening fanfics I've come across keep (mostly default)Robin and add another character that they can relate to. You'd think they'd use Robin as their OC, since he's the player's character.
That's why I just consider him to be Robin
Y'know...technical to play, requires solid coordination to use, has a variety of different configurations...evokes epic, down-to-earth, and romantic themes with equal skill, depending on what's backing it...makes a good bludgeoning weapon in a pinch...
Accordion would fit fairly well even if it wasn't mandatory. I might be stretching it a bit.
I've always associated the harp with highly accomplished individuals. Not so much the accordion. That I tend to associate with the local hole in the wall tavern in the local pirate town. The kind where a knocked over drink or a wrong joke results in a pub wide brawl that puts Smash Brothers to shame in terms of sheer carnage.
IIRC, in the japanese version of Awakening, there was actually a silent voice option for Robin that would also change their dialogue to "..." like the Streetpass characters have.
No idea why it was taken out of the western releases, but it would change Robin a lot more into your typical silent protagonist.
Though I don't know if it actually changes any story dialogue. It could've only been level up quotes and the like.
Well, it could cetainly be seem that way.
A lot of people, though, do think Robin is supposed to be their own avatar because you can choose the gender, customize his appearance, change his name and voice, but that's where his similarities with an avatar character ends.

Yeah, I've heard about that, too. It does change story dialogue to accomodate all the "..." Robin is going to throw at you, still, I don't think they would write all of Robin's dialogues for lulz, so I see this silent opitions more of an extra. What makes me certain is the fact that they didn't think the silent Robin was worth the trouble to keep in international release.
Spoilers from game ahead!
Now imagine: Validar saying "Robin, I am your FATHER" and Robin going all "......." Oh dear
Either way, his actions in this case would speak for his words. It becomes even more evident when almost all choices you make ingame have no different outcome for the ending
except one at the end, and even in that one, the game heavely tries to influence so the player chooses to sacrifice Robin. Really, When the choice appears it's already pointed at "NO" and even at that ending, Robin's bond with the Shepard brings him back, making that a win-win situation. And dat Chrom ending is so Anti-climax it almost hurts
I barely got my 3DS XL last year, I don't have money for that now.
For now I'll waste the living crap out of this little guy, and prob just going to switch when it breaks and there's no way of fixing it.

Such prejudice agaisnt poor accordion.
I think every musical instrument has it's own special trait, and should get love.
Hearing to Id, I can't help but think the accordion is too underrated sometimes
Edit: I'm not saying the Accordion is bad. I'm just saying it doesn't seem as refined of an instrument as the harp is. And Robin seems more refined then not. Unless there's a support convo where (s)he just drops the lewd bomb with belches and swear words.

Majora's Mask special arrived earlier this afternoon. Sadly, had to hold off on ordering the SD card until I had money, i.e. today. So it's decor until that comes in, which is lame.

Well, M!Robin not so much, but F!Robin can be pretty sassy...oh, these Lucina supports...
Not exactly swear words, though.
Still, Robin doesn't give me fancy/refined vibes in Awakening...
Chrom even says at F!Robin's face that she isn't lady-like at all in the C-Support...Chrom, u bad guy He didn't mean that way though.
Actually, they have a pretty humble personality there in general, having a slightly difference between the Male and Female version. A bit too humble even, to the point they get pushed around sometimes by others.
Either way, I do think Accordion can be refined, as you say.
I actually always imagined the (a bit) more reserved mRobin playing violin while fRobin would play accordion whenever my mind wandered into that direction.
Okay you guys. Right answer coming through. Violin.
Get that **** up in yo' grill. Sound like you hopped right out of Tenpei Sato's dream-castles.
Violin master race~
I always felt that Fem Robin is more sassy and kinda energetic compared to her male counterpart. I picture the Male Robin to be more cold and cautious. Also Female Robin smile is really cute.
And @Elezir
if you could do a badass or cool wallpaper of Female Robin It would be awesome, I can't find good wallpapers of Robin or FE:A, only artwork. Your wallpapers are really good and I love them.
Also, I see you guys mentioned the New 3ds's, and I was just wondering, when I get them money, which one should i get? I can't seem to decide. If I could have, I would have gotten the MM new 3ds and killed 2 birds with one stone but I didn't have the money....

If I could, I'd want the Fire Emblem 14 limited version one that I just know they are going to release together with that game.
But I doubt I'll get that.

Knowing Nintendo, they will most likely do this.
They did for Awakening, the game that was supposed to be the last in the series at the time, so why not for this one too?
I would stop, but can't let redfeather top me, I suppose
