Robin social is quite the talkative bunch.

The thread picked up speed initially from the Chrom/Lucina/Robin Gematsu debates, hit its veerrrrrrry high apex on the day of the trailer, and has been casually coasting ever since.
Well, it helps that most people coming here are pretty dang neat folks!

Well, these supports aren't going to grow by themselves, are they?:troll:

I don't really have many regrets in life. One of them, however, was not joining the boards earlier despite actively lurking the Robin forums for a long, long time. I was like Kellam: I was there, you just couldn't see me.

I was in more or less the same boat - I made like just 4 posts here before the trailer touched down.

Now I'm just kinda here and there. :v

So sometimes I just like to come here and be sad that Robin will never be a PM character.

Am I the only one?
I still need to test PM out, I suppose, but who knows if the PM will surpass this bad moment in it's life and the guys in charge of it will add the newcomers of Sm4sh. Or even make a mod for Sm4sh, but I kinda doubt this one.
Additionally, I'm curious about how Robin would work in PM.

Was Robin planned to be project M character? Even if Robin was added they would have most likely taken a completely different route with him/her. Maybe there wouldn't even be a playable female Robin.

I mean, if you have the skills, you could make PM for smash wii u. Just a thought.
Half of Oklahoma PM's scene was angry Robin got in Sm4sh because now they can't use him in PM.

I'm not kidding.
Seriously? Whoa, and I thought I was mad that Young Link will never be in smash 4....

Well, they'd need to make Robin more faster and let his attack become more combo-ish, I think (it could probably kill his whole strategic gameplay, though) about the F!Robin, I doubt. PM is a mod made by fans for fans, if fans wanted a female Robin together with male, they would have it at some point. (and they would likely get it even first, seeing as female is more popular than male, eventhat kind of makes me sad sometimes, but eh I still like female, just not as much)

As @ Elezir Elezir said, I would be interested in seeing how Robin would be translated in a different system and style of Smash. PM has its fair share of zoners, so if anything, it would be Robin's projectiles that would need a buff as oppose to her swordplay. I mean, how are you suppose to charge thoron and use arcfire effectively if more than half the cast can chuck stuff at you from across the screen like Falco, get in your grill in the blink of an eye, or even just teleport to you?

Never. Not only is Robin too recent of a character for the PMBR to consider, they themselves said that any character that they do decide to put in has to actually appear in Brawl in some shape or form already. Even if its just as a sticker, that character is technically a candidate, which also means no post-Brawl characters like Robin are eligible.

Zoning doesn't necessitate projectiles. For example, PM Ike controls a lot of space due to Ragnell's sheer reach as well as Quick Draw's speed allowing him to cross distances and punish quickly. He is able to keep opponents out of his space very effectively as a result of his disjoint. A PM Robin I imagine would be a sort of interplay between PM Ike and PM Snake: The ability to trap the stage and keep people out with both projectiles and a wide-arcing, hard-hitting Levin sword. Well, it's fun to think about.

Ah, I see.
Eh, that's too bad.
That means the only way Robin has a chance of appearing in PM is if they can hack the Wii U and the Sm4sh and make mods in them a possibility.
Well, seeing as how Nintendo is fiercily battling against that with everything they have, it can be troublesome.
Even the 3ds is being a pain to hack, with all these updates.

You are correct. Perhaps I should have been more specific and say that projectile based characters and zoning are very viable in PM. As someone who has played Marth throughout all Smash games, there are times when I try to wall out people with my sword, forgetting that I am not Marth. So I also do like your idea of a hypothetical PM Robin. But perhaps I shouldn't indulge any more fantasies about this because I am starting to wish for things I know I won't ever have, haha.

Well, there's a wallpaper I made to have fun with colors and forms. Not the best I've done, but I still kinda liked it.

Robin had no chance at being playable in Project M anyway, because the PMBR's criteria for clone engine newcomers is that they had to appear in Brawl in some form (i.e. ATs, stickers, trophies, bosses, etc.), and Robin was made years after Brawl's release.

You could, however, create your own custom mod for Robin for your own PM build, as soon as his/her model is ripped from the Wii U version. He/she would be a pain to recreate though, with the "hocus pocus magic" needed to replicate the moveset Sakurai made for him/her (particularly the FS).

After getting/playing Smash 4, it became increasingly harder to go back to PM once I realized there was no Robin.

I haven't gone back to PM in months, not even for the 3.5 update. I like the gameplay in Smash 4 more than PM to be quite honest. And yeah... it's hard to go back when I can play characters like Robin, Shulk, Little Mac, Bowser Jr., and Mega Man in this game.
Also, Luigi has his godly down throw here. I'll easily take that over his wavedash.

I think it would make a better game to keep track of how many grams of sodium @ Raziek Raziek -sensei has produced as a result of how many times it is brought up that NSG likes every post in this thread.
oh dear never knew Raizek gets salty about that D:
Also I swear i spend more time here than in the Villager or Wario Socials.
Robin A supported me behind my back
It's not that it annoys me, it's just that....

you'd think that people might realize that when he has liked LITERALLY EVERY POST in the thread, that they're PROBABLY not breaking new ground by pointing out his penchant for liking posts.

That was so punny I can't help but be amused though.

Let's pretend the ground is your patience.

Every time someone references NSG, it eats away at your patience.

See? People are breaking grounds every time they reference NSG!

:seuss:

yeah that was horrible, the idea just popped in my mind :C

I've been reading the line for five minutes, and I don't get it. I feel like I'm missing something very obvious.
Robin=intentionally used wrongly as "robbin" i.e "robbery/theft"

"PM be Robin(robbing) you of that character you like in Smash 4."

Liquid made a pun about PM not having Robin, so I replied with my own pun by calling him "Punny" instead of "funny"
The whole thing was rather silly so don't worry about it

Imma blame my newness to here for not knowing NSG's lack of exclusivity
In other news I think i might prefer Morgan's "time to even the odds!" over Robin's "time to tip the scales!"

Unrelated, but...I know Morgan's a teenager and all, but regardless of gender, the voice makes him/her sound WAY older than they look(14-16). That always bugged me.

And yes, I agree.

Blasfemy!
...
Just kidding.

I like all character's quotes, though "time to tip the scales" has grown on me more, mostly because it's has become very meme-worth:troll:
If I had to pick a favorite of mine from the game though, I would pick Freddie's "Pick a god and pray!"
