Am I the only one who thinks Morgan being Lucina's younger sibling make the most sense? Support wise, Lucina having Kjelle being her sister is out of character. Kjelle, freaking out over a bug? Pshh. She'd kill it without a second thought.

No it doesn't make it any easier. I just end up deleting my Robin to create a Robin.

Even now on this file, I keep telling myself I will hook up Chrom to Olivia, but it's never too late! Robin, you still have time! Tell Chrom how you feel, before the scripture has been etched onto the planate tablet of his heart...

Well, at this point, I honestly do think that Chrom is still the more likely. Most people think he's a shoo-in for a reason, after all; he's one of the main characters of Awakening and, most importantly, he's the actual face of the game. He's the most obvious choice for a new Fire Emblem character.

But with that said, I do think Robin's chances have been increasing, and that many people tend to greatly underestimate them. He/She can offer something truly unique to the roster, which seems to be quite important to Sakurai this time around, and what little in game evidence we have seems to point towards Robin rather than Chrom. So, is Robin more likely than Chrom? I'd love to be convinced otherwise, but at this point, I'm going to say no. But Robin still have a very real chance of being playable, I think.

On that note, what's your reasoning here? I'd very much like to know.

It was merely an arbitrary sentiment; I do have some logic to support it, but I am so lazy that I do not want to collect my thoughts and type it all up. Not only that; but I am not entirely confident in her chances, it might honestly be one of the only characters with a 50/50 chance. Her aesthetic and game-play related diversity along with her prominence and notable role as the Avatar are enough to make her as recognizable as Chrom within the fan-base. However, if Sakurai just caters to Fire Emblem from the surface, Chrom seems the most likely as he is more marketable.

Toon Link and Lucas, no offence, are bad decisions for a number of reasons, but how those characters were chosen is likely very different from this scenario. Intelligent Systems and the Pokemon Company both have hundreds of characters they got to keep note of for their respective IPs. If Sakurai wanted a unique character specifically, no reason why they would suggest Chrom.

Of course; however, the same could be said about almost every other support thread. If there was anything definitive for any character, there would be no discussion. I do believe that Robin's chances have significantly increased though, upon learning that the trophy quiz theme was hers, I am more hopeful. The stage reveal did not reveal much, but it confirms our expectations... and I believe it is safe to say that we all expect Robin, correct?
