I don't suppose you'd have a reference with the hair, you know, not clipped out?

Your avatar's hair reminds me of Shulk's :/
So all guys with blonde unkempt hair look the same to you? That's racist, dude!

I'm just kidding of course. As I said, woulda preferred another hairstyle. Alas, this will do nicely for now.

no, oh course not. Do you see me saying Link looks like Shulk? It's just the way it is positioned. Anyway, I hope you can figure out a solution to your problem soon ^_^

Some...creative liberties had to be taken. I honestly think it came out messy, but let's hear your thought on it.

You know what? I wish we had more information on who Robin's mother was, like what she might have looked like. We hardly even have any fan art or works involving her in some way. It's disappointing enough that she was more or less just a throwaway line regarding Robin not being part of the Grimleal, and considering that it's not unprecedented for deceased parents to continue to play some part in their childrens' story arcs (Seliph, Ike), we could have had maybe some dialogue from her in a flashback when Robin was a child (perhaps s/he regained some bits of memories from their past?).

So I went ahead and looked at some more fanart in FE: Awakening, and what do you know, there was at least one picture of her! For a moment I thought it was Olivia and F!Morgan, but it's actually about F!Robin and her mother (haven't seen any with M!Robin yet unfortunately).

derp, left something I didn't even properly finish typing here, ignore pls
I've barely touched the Mega Man series, and I don't believe I ever had fun playing the few titles that I had tried out. I would have preferred Phoenix Wright or Sir Arthur as the Capcom representative instead.

...Come at me. :4lucina:
I'd have prefer PW myself as well, but in terms of whose more iconic and fitting, I'd probably have to side with MegaMan, and I do think he's a cool addition none the less, I'm just a much bigger AA fan

I'm all about the classic entries. Awakening, Link to the Past, Zelda 2, even the Oracles games were actually fun. That said, I think the 3d and 2d games are too different to compare them to each other. That said, as far as the 3d games go, Wind Waker is certainly my favourite, followed by Twilight Princess.

Twilight Princess would have been the best without the
segments.

Well of course Luigi is my most played character.

I've been playing as Shulk and Greninja a lot and Robin is my fourth most played character. I've seen myself using Lucina, Bowser Jr., and Little Mac, however.

TP is one of the two 3D Zeldas I love, the other being MM, although I'm interested in replaying it as, being my first Zelda ever, I might have some bias for it. I never saw the "it's a reskinned OoT" problem though, it's not like most Zeldas since Link to the Past really shaked the formula that much. If anyone is curious for my stances on the 3D games
Ocarina of Time: good game, but I honestly find nothing that really stands out about it. The atmosphere, story, characters, dungeons and bosses are just okay-ish.
Majora's Mask: had problems getting into it at first, but it's one of my favorites. Funnily enough, I hate all the dungeons except the Stone Tower as I feel their design is utterly unenjoyable, but I feel everything else from the game makes up for it, especially the world building and atmosphere.
Wind Waker: favorite combat in the series, but I have grown to really dislike it as the years go by. I find the dungeons and bosses to be forst the most part really bland and boring, I absolutely detest the overworld and sailing, and the triforce shards quest seriously can go burn in a fire. It's still a good game, but given how much **** the fans give to TP when this really didn't do anything creative and had what I consider a far worse overall design, I'm somewhat bitter against it. Doubt I'd ever consider replaying it.
Twilight Princess: I should replay this to reaffirm my feelings towards it, but it's my favorite as of now. I think the dungeons are the absolute best in the series, and I also love the item selection. I'll agree the tutorial is way too long and the wolf sections are bad due to the scavenger hunting, but in itself, I found
Link to be just fine in terms of gameplay and control. The story and characters are nothing to write home about, but I'd say that about any Zelda game that isn't Majora's Mask.
Skyward Sword: pretty much gave my feelings already, hated the overworld, couldn't get into the motion controls, and the pacing is quite bad. It's the only one I haven't finished or plan to do so.

I do love me some 2D Zelda too though, I consider Minish Cap in particular to be quite overlooked by fans

I'm messing around with the other fire emblem characters, and shulk. Sometimes rosalina, but I shulk is like my go to if I'm not playing Robin. I find the Monodo arts fun and rewarding.

*high fives* Yay for androgynes!

The Wolf parts are my favorite, though that is mostly because its more screen time for Midna.

Midna is Link's best partner imo and when I saw she was an assist trophy I was pretty much like
[sad music and cries of deconfirmation ring through the air]

Since we're talking about favorite Zelda games, mine is definitely Twilight Princess..although I can't exactly pinpoint why.

I just don't like that a lot of the decisions for the Wolf segments basically equate to less interactivity.

Whether it's holding a button to charge an attack, or pressing A rapidly for jump sequences.... You're not actually doing anything. The game does it all for you. It's just a byproduct of the cancer that is the QTE, or quick time event, which has been a cancer in the game industry with the "advancements" of the 3d era.

And if that wasn't non-interactive enough, you spend a lot of time as a Wolf just kind of running around in featureless landscapes. The Twilight areas have cool designs with its surreal colours and audio direction, but sometimes it's just like a dull, grey, brown field. When you finally find an enemy it's just like another automated combat sequence.

Midna is cool, though.

Okay...............

So aside from Robin, which characters are you people running right now? I'm playing a lot of Villager and Charizard.
Unsuprisingly, I have been using a lot of :4tlink: along side :4robinm:, though :4link::4pit: and :4falcon: and :4lucina: too (can't forget her ^_^)
I have been also trying out a lot of characters to seen what there and have fun with them too, like :4sonic::4shulk::4miisword::4littlemac::4fox::4marth: and :4duckhunt:.

Shulk, Robin, and Lucina of course, the future crushing trio.

Well Midna is cool, I will say this once and I will say it forever, Fi will never be replaced as the best companion for Link. Serious, I love her so much, every time I see her, it's a constant reminder of this

I didn't mind the wolf ability in twilight Princess that much, though I did kind of hate the wolf SECTIONS (ie twilight zones) of the game.

I don't see what's so odd about that... it'd be very narrow minded to assume every single person alive is either male, female, masculine, feminine, fits into gender roles, is straight, etc.

About time someone said that.

But yes, Zelda has not once been played by me. No game at all. And really, I don't feel left out in spite of the praises everyone sings about Skyward Sword(I am neutral to it).
I've played the beginning of OoT, and that's it. I really need to pick it back up someday, though. It was pretty fun.
My childhood had it's share of Nintendo restricted to Mario and Pokemon. Sony otherwise had the advantage. I did play more Nintendo series throughout my life, from Metroid to Donkey Kong to Kirby, and more recently, Kid Icarus and Fire Emblem(<3).

But I've somehow managed to not play a Zelda game once.
When I was younger, my gaming experience was Pokémon, a tiny bit of Mario and SSB, an even smaller bit of Kirby, and some licensed games. I'm slowly expanding my palate, though.
Ocarina of Time's a good game, but it's very barebones in its design compared to the later 3D installments.

If you ever consider trying the series out @ LIQUID12A LIQUID12A , I would probably go for either A Link to the Past or A Link Between Worlds. If, however, you intend to start with the 3D Zelda games, then perhaps you should play Majora's Mask.
If I get more eShop money eventually, I'm considering Link Between Worlds (or KI:U or Tomodachi Life or Fantasy Life). It was one of the ones I considered getting with my initial eShop money until settling on another game that I'm sure no one here has ever heard of. Burning Symbol: Snoozing or something like that.
THERE WERE TOO MANY KIND COMMENTS FOR THE PREVIOUS PICTURE SO THANK YOU ALL

You know @ LIQUID12A LIQUID12A got me thinking, you know how he's not interested in Zelda and hasn't played a game, how many people here were uninterested in Fire Emblem before Awakening? My first Fire Emblem game was Radiant Dawn in 2007 (at which point I was 9 and didn't know permadeath was a thing). Just a thought that popped into mind while reading the last couple pages. I think everyone should give a game a shot if good things are said about it, if bad things are said then I don't really think they should.

I was interested in FE since Melee, but I also could never find the FE games in stores. This was before I ordered stuff online more. I also lost track of what games came out and when. I also admit that I was on the fence about the permadeath thing. It's definitely an interesting idea that really raises the stakes, but I get so attached to my characters that even if a useless one dies, I feel very guilty. I barely made it through my first Nuzlocke run in Emerald without feeling like a jerk, and in that game, the "deaths" aren't even truly deaths.

I haven't had any permadeath issues yet in FE7. I'm trying to make it through without losing anyone, if possible. I almost lost Florina once, but that's about it. I'm still on the tutorial chapters, though...

Actually, even though I had Brawl, I never knew much about FE until last year when a friend suggested that I get it. SO I go Awakening for Christmas (was think about getting Pokemon Y but declined) and I loved it. Wait, are you think about suggesting to LIQUIDFGC to get Zelda Wii u so that he will love the series? That's Brilliant :b:

So aside from Robin, which characters are you people running right now?
Playing a lot of Greninja, Lucina, Villager, Charizard, Pikachu, Captain Falcon, trying to learn how to play Pittoo, and a pocket Little Mac. I'm really wanting to pick up Ike, but his recovery is so bad compared to Robin's :c

This forum has gotten me into playing :4charizard: a lot more. I originally didn't like the changes to him all that much, but he's really grown to me ever since the connection of :4robinf: and :4charizard: was brought to my attention.

Fii is the cancer that grew within the Zelda series in it's last couple of iterations before Skyward Sword personified and I was close to throwing something at the screen when they actually tried to create a sad moment with her departure. Why should Link be sad about that? He's finally free! No ghost over his shoulder bugging him about inane crap every five steps! No one explaining to him what he is currently seeing, as if he was blind! No more low battery warnings that go on for hours because the batteries aren't actually that low! No. More. Handholding!
There's more, but I have to leave for work now, so I'll stop for now.

I felt the last one was unacceptable, so I went ahead and redid it. I think this one looks MUCH better in comparison.
I appreciate the effort, but the edits still look very intrusive. Thanks for trying though. :3

If I were Link and Fi was my only weapon, I rather go bare-handed. :(

I felt kind of grossed out when the game tried to make me actually care about her.

:c. You know how I feel about that? FURIOUS! OUTRAGED! SICKWITHANGER! - Ghirahim

Serious though, I really didn't mind Fi, in fact I really enjoy her company, but I guess that's my taste. I can see why you guys hate her. Though I always find it werid when people do cry but cheer at Fi's final cutscene. If it helps, think over her as an over protective mother. As you see in the game, she actually has very little knowledge on human emotion and thoughts, so, when Link does something the she just said he shouldn't do, Fi doesn't understand that he is just ignoring her and Fi repeats what she say because she is trying to keep Link, her master, protect. But that's just my 2 cents for you, you feel free to think however you like

also, you spelled her name wrong. It's Fi not Fii
