But yes, Zelda has not once been played by me. No game at all. And really, I don't feel left out in spite of the praises everyone sings about Skyward Sword(I am neutral to it).

Praise? I think Skyward Sword is like the most detested game in the series.

My childhood had it's share of Nintendo restricted to Mario and Pokemon. Sony otherwise had the advantage. I did play more Nintendo series throughout my life, from Metroid to Donkey Kong to Kirby, and more recently, Kid Icarus and Fire Emblem(<3).

But I've somehow managed to not play a Zelda game once.

Oh boy, Skyward Sword talk?

Personally, I loved Skyward Sword. I loved the story and the atmosphere of the game. I also loved the characters in the game, more specifically Groose and Ghirahim, since they were given some detailed and likable personalities.

As for the controls, I enjoyed them, but I understand why people don't like them. Using the Wii Motion Plus made me feel like I was Link slashing away at my foes and I didn't have any trouble using the controls at all. I got used to them pretty easily, especially when I did the sword fighting mini game in Wii Sports Resort prior. The controls actually make combat satisfying since, again, I felt like I was Link; I felt greatly accomplished whenever I took down a boss or giant enemy like a Moblin.

I will admit that the overworld exploration is a bit bland (but I'll take The Sky over The Great Sea ANY day), but I didn't mind it too much. I also didn't mind revisiting the same areas over and over again.

Oh yeah, and the music is incredibly freaking awesome.

So... yeah. I like Skyward Sword and it's my favorite Zelda and I have played many Zelda games.

Personally I loved Skyward Sword, the controls were a bit odd but the story and the landscapes were just beautiful. I liked that in the first part you need to search for Zelda, it give like a feeling that you need to hurry up to catch her. The controls were strange as I said but nothing so horrible that makes the experience horrible, it was like a more interactive Twilight Princess in some way (but still I prefer the GC version).

The characters in the game were amazing, obviously the highlights are Groose and Ghirahim, they have a unique personality and really well made, Ghirahim still give me the creeps but I can't deny that the character is cool. Skyloft and the Sky were really fun to explore, compared to The Great Sea it was a lot less tedious and time consuming and the fact that you are flying makes that really cool.

And the music is just wonderful, Ballad of the Goddess is amazing and the boss fights were so cool and fit so well with the atmosphere. One thing that disappointed me was the instrument, the harp is boring meanwhile in other Zeldas you have the Ocarina or The Wind Waker that taked a little challenge in memorizing the notes, here is just follow the rhythm.

Though seriously, I would suggest playing the series, it's a great series. You can play any of the games adn enjoy it, but personal, I would suggest Skyward Sword. No seriously, if you are willing to (or can just natural) ignore all the faults, it is a brilliant game, especially when you play to the end, (the last boss fights and cutscene are GREAT, and extremely sad )

It has come to my attention that there is an alternate story over what happened to Chrom. In one case, asked Falcon to cripple him. However, a different yet similarly believable story involving has come to light.

nah, I can understand. AS much as people say Fifa is good, I'm really not interested in playing it. It's the same for you and the Zelda franchise. I take no offence

It's all good! ^_^ I've never played an F-Zero game despite many people singing praises for those games. It's just not my type of racing game. I prefer Mario Kart for my racing needs.

Same, I have never played an FZero game, but hey seem really interesting and fun. I am thinking about get one one day. The series seem much cool than Mario Kart. Plus, that music ^_^.


Speak of Zelda, am I the only one here who actually enjoyed Spirit Tracks?

TBH, I'm not really "into" Zeldas myself. At least, not in a way that I'd be enthutiastic about them. Heck, you'd see me gush more over Metroid-games, definitely. (I adore Super Metroid...)

The games are good, but it's like when I'd play Sonics now and then: sweet, but nothing for me to gush about. It's more of a side thing. LTTP, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker and Minish Cap are my fave entries in the series (LBW now following closely, even if I haven't cleared it yet) but playing these games are kinda like eating a meal that is very tasty, but gets hella full to not eat it again for long while (Me at Burger King basically).

I guess it's because I establish the series as more of my sibling's thing rather than mine. Eh.

Also, let Liquid prefer not playing the games he's not willing to guys. There's just so many games we can like altogether.

Super Metroid is my favorite Nintendo game of all time, period.

As much as I do like Zelda, I consider the Metroid series to be far superior with its deep, intricate explorations, and the hordes of enemies you have to face. Oh, and the music is incredible. The only thing that disappoints me more regarding Metroid representation being left to just Samus, is the fact that the choices of songs picked throughout each game have been mediocre at best.

So I just found out "horsetail", isn't a name of an insect. It's a plant.

This might take a while to explain.

Japanese ツクシ Tsukushi From 土筆 tsukushi, a horsetail. Also from 虫 mushi, insect or つくつく法師 tsukutsukubōshi, a type of cicada.



I used name "Tsukushi-kun" after Bugsy's japanese name from Pokemon-series in another forums and someone would give me the name "Young Horsetail" based on that. Welp.

A VERY close candidate, to say the least. I LOVE the way the Grandmaster outfit looks in this artwork. Robin's face is too androgynous for my tastes though...
I'll probably tinker with it one of these days.

I've barely touched the Mega Man series, and I don't believe I ever had fun playing the few titles that I had tried out. I would have preferred Phoenix Wright or Sir Arthur as the Capcom representative instead.
