Robin is a terrible ally. Always letting other people give Chrom the business while he just sits there looking pretty.

I guess Grima hasn't truly left him.
I wanted to use Female Robin there, but then I remembered that she already did the crowbar incident :seuss:

Aw c'mon he's not that bad-

I take that statement back.

I didn't plan on doing this, but I might as well;
Favorite Wii U stages
1. Gaur Plain: Xenoblade stage, Metal Face destroying everyone, and THE MUSICCCC.
2. Coliseum: A lot cooler than Arena Ferox imo and I like the layout of it, even in it's Omega form. Also, amazing music (ok just assume all of my top 5 will be partially because of music)
3. Kalos Pokemon League. The first time I played on here I was so surprised by how interesting the hazards are and they're quite different from anything else. The Pokemon popping up in the background is pretty sweet. PLUS CYNTHIA'S THEME, AW YEAH can't wait until the innevitable dppt remakes so she can be in a game again ahhhh ;;
4. Mario Galaxy: The gravity mechanic is really cool and, surprise surprise, I love the music. This song is always so inspiring and makes me feel like I'll always win, especially that chorus, mmm.
5. Wii Fit Studio / The Great Cave Offensive. I couldn't decide between these two: Wii Fit Studio is hillarious with the exercise quotes, but The Great Cave Offensive is frickin gigantic, so fun to play on, and it's from one of my favorite Kirby games.

The only bad stage imo is Pacland cuz it looks like someone was let loose on ms paint lmao. Wish they pulled something from Pacman World instead.

Finally.

Have a 2v2 I just so happened to have recently with a good Robin on my side.

There isn't much I really know about Pacman, so I'm pretty indifferent to his stages. Well, STAGE, as I have yet to unlock the Wii U version's stage.
Pac-Maze>Pac Land.

Simple as that.

Anyone want to do a Top 5 with Brawl and Smash 4 newcomers?
Sure. Purely subjective lists in no particular order:

Brawl:

1. Snake - Got me into Brawl in the first place. My brother and I mourn his absence.
2. R.O.B - Interesting historical relic and a somewhat common character in my mains.
3. Meta Knight - Didn't use him that much, but he was cool in the SSE.
4. Wario - Fatass and I love him for that. Second main in Brawl after Snake.
5. Charizard - His execution in Brawl was terrible, but he was there. Now he's even better.

U/3DS:

1. Lucina - Came in, unexpectedly took me over by storm and changed me in more ways than just Smash.
2. Robin - ^^^^^^^^^^
3. Greninja - Awesome XY rep and a huge gamble as a pick that paid off, although I don't use him that often.
4. Shulk - Lesser version of Robin and Lucina, as I really like Xenoblade Chronicles as a game now. I have never played it, though. Shulk is nice to use in For Fun and Metal Face is an awesome villain if sadly not as awesome stage hazard.
5. Miis - zermagherd grey fox helghast myself omg i can make anybody and i has projectile spam option yay :happysheep:

There you go.

Alright then,

Brawl

1. Toon Link - Only because his my replacement for Young Link :(.
2. Pit - Because it gave us an awesome noob character and later KI:U, a brilliant game
3. Pokemon Trainer - Cool character with cool pokemon, unfortunately the gimick held him back
4. Sonic - Cause his Sonic, the Hedgehog
5. Wolf - introduced me to a cool villian

SSB4

1. Robin - For obvious reasons :awesome:
2. Lucina - Again, for obvious reasons
3. Palutena - Because I loved KI:U and loved her characters personality
4. Shulk - He makes me want to play Xenoblade series
5. Little Mac - Cause he is and EXTREMELY fun character to play and had and really cool trailer. Plus Doc Louis .

Honorable Mentions

Snake
Wario
Mii's
Greninja
Duck Hunt Duo

Okay, my turn.

Brawl:
1. Sonic - this was my Ghirahim back in 2007. I wanted Sonic SO SO BAD. I didn't expect him at first, either, but then Mario and Sonic & At The Crappy Games came out, and I was became super hopeful. Like Robin and Lucina, it was the timing of his reveal, some random day in October, that really blew my mind. Still love his trailer. Sadly he isn't that fun to play.

2. Lucario - I love Lucario, he is not only my favorite Pokemon, but my favorite character ever, barely above Midna. I thought it was really cool he was in Brawl, too, though I wasn't a huge fan at the time. Still Lucario is one of my favorite characters to play in Brawl.

3. Toon Link - Yep, I loved Toon Link in Brawl. Wind Waker was my favorite Zelda at the time, and I didn't really expect Cel-Shaded Link (as he was known at the time) so he was a pleasant surprise. As you can see, I've always liked clones.

4. Wario - It baffled me that Wario was not in Melee, and I stumbled upon Brawl's trailer by accident, so...yeah. Wario's reveal was pretty hype. His moveset was a bit of a letdown though since I'd never played WarioWare.

5. Pokemon Trainer - Admittedly, I am not a fan of this character anymore. At the time, however, I was amazed by this reveal. I had heard of the idea before but I didn't think it would happen. I wish Squirtle or Ivysaur had come back in Smash 4...

Smash 4:
1. Lucina - Just awesome. Lucina was suddenly revealed at a time where we all desperately needed a wake-up call. Honestly, Robin was, in hind-sight, the right call, but Lucina was completely unexpected. Especially considering we already had Robin. The fact she was a clone of Marth made it even better as I love playing as Marth. Never has being in the minority felt so good. Fun fact: Lucina is actually what got me into buying Fire Emblem Awakening.

2. Rosalina & Luma - Mega Man is cool and all, but this was the reveal that really got me hyped for Smash 4. I love Rosalina and Super Mario Galaxy but I never thought she would be in Smash, and I got hopeful after Super Mario 3d World. She is also really fun to play. She was the last newcomer reveal that I didn't see live revealed.

3. Robin - Same as Lucina.

4. Mega Man - I always liked Mega Man, and I knew a lot of people wanted him, so going to IGN during E3 and seeing "MEGA MAN REVEALED FOR SMASH BROS." on the front page was pretty spectacular. Mega Man is fun to play, though he is not my style. Even if his stage is somewhat annoying, I'm glad Mega Man brought a plethora of badass remixes.

5. Bowser Jr. - I love Mario so this was an exciting character to get. The only complaint I have is that that ESRB asshole leaked him before his time, ruining the surprise. I also wish he had been revealed before release for the same reasons.

Runner up: Shulk - he is super fun to play and I love his hammy accent.

You win.

Here's my pick for retro stages:

Best:
1. Castle Siege - I still love this stage. It still has incredible music, is fun, and brings Brawl hype nostalgia.
2. Onett - FINALLY THEY HAVE THE ACTUAL ONETT THEME.
3. Luigi's Mansion - One of my favorite Mario games, now with Dark Moon remixes!
4. Bridge of Eldin - Twilight Princess FTW.
5. Temple - I love playing this stage, and the fact they included the Great Bay theme like in Adventure Mode makes me so happy.

Worst:
1. 75m - This stage is a nightmare to play even now, and they removed the ONLY GOOD PART (the right walk-off).
2. Skyworld - It still baffles me how a stage this tiny can have so many walls of life.
3. Mario Circuit - A boring, frustrating stage with lackluster music choices.
4. Delfino Plaza, it's funny, despite the fact I like travelling stages and love Super Mario Sunshine, I find this stage incredibly boring.
5. Norfair - It's got some nice music, but the stage is way too gimmicky and has no room for actual combat.
So, 75m still stinks. Glad Luigi's Mansion still rocks, though. I loved that stage in Brawl, especially with that remix of the main theme.
What's with the hate Yellow Devil is getting? He's not THAT bad of a stage hazard.
I didn't expect him to bug me, but whenever he shows up, he practically takes up the whole stage and every time he switches sides, it's a pain. Not sure if the Wii U version is any better.
10/10 you should get paid for that
But those shoes
I like. :shades:

The deed is done.
You might have to crop things, but other than that, go wild. :awesome:

Chrom. But :4falcon:already took care of him.

silently weeps
:4lucina:

Yessir, but idrc for the most part. You guys are pretty trustable. :p
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! That will be my new icon with the trio moved to my sig. It's perfect!
Anyone want to do a Top 5 with Brawl and Smash 4 newcomers?
I'm assuming this is our favorites and not objectively best.

Brawl:
1. Lucas- Okay, I'm a huge Mother 3 nerd. He also just feels nice to play as, though.
2. Snake- One of the more unique choices for SSB. I didn't expect to like him, but he had his own style and I miss him.
3. Zero Suit Samus- More for how she plays in SSB4 than anything. I adore her. Even in Brawl, I liked her, but her being tethered to Samus made her a pain to play for me.
4. Pokémon Trainer- His execution wasn't the best, but it was just nice seeing the true main player character of Pokémon represented for once. Charizard plays way better on his own now, but I still wish they could have improved PT somehow.
5. Olimar- Neat gimmick and a brand new franchise. He's cool.

SSB4:
1. Robin- I bet you're all shocked. Doubt I need to explain him/her.
2. Duck Hunt- He's like a playable Looney Tune, and just a blast!
3. Shulk- Unique gimmick and just a cool character all around.
4. Greninja- What can I say? I like Pokémon.
5. Villager- It's about time SSB got a playable AC rep, and boy did they deliver.

SSB4's was hard because there are so many great characters. Honorable mentions include Lucina, Bowser Jr., Wii Fit Trainer, Mega Man, and Rosalina.

As a bonus (too lazy to explain all of them)-

SSB:
1. Pikachu- My original main, so bias.
2. Ness- Has a really neat moveset and is from an awesome series.
3. Kirby
4. Yoshi
5. Mario

Melee:
1. Marth
2. Peach
3. Sheik
4. Ice Climbers
5. Zelda

Honorable mention for Pichu as one of my favorite Pokémon, but I figured putting him on there is a stretch.

Top five characters, huh? Might as well.

Brawl:
1. Wolf. Best fighting style of the Star Fox characters. Shame he didn't make the transition to Smash 4. He will be missed.
2. Lucario. Awesome fighting dog. That is all.
3. Wario. Loved his frame-by-frame fighting style, and general weirdness.
4. Lucas. PSI powered like Ness, but unique in his own way. I don't think he should've left.
5. Charizard. Just because I like him.

Smash 4:
1. Mega Man. Because he's Mega Man.
2. Robin. Not too much of a fan of swords(though I will admit the Levin Sword is a killer), but tomes were the best way to mix things up. Glad he's here.
3. Shulk. I don't really use him, but I like him.
4. Bowser Jr. He's got an interesting playstyle, though I was expecting him to use his paintbrush more actively.
5. Greninja. More Pokemon. Yay.

Let, might as well share my thoughts of my top 5 favourite stages. And no, I won't give a top 5 worst stages because I honestly don't have 5 stages that I dislike, only 1, possibly 2. With that being said, LET'S DO THIS!!!!!
:happysheep:

1. Gaur Plains: This stage comes from one of my favourite games of all time so of course it's going to be on the list! Although, I never cared to play on this stage in the 3DS version due it's layout and the fact that most platforms were too small, even the top two walk off platforms were too small. I only ever enjoyed that stage in it's Omega form and I did that mainly because of the background and sweet, sweet Xenoblade music that I oh so love! <3 However, I freaking love the Wii U version of this stage. There's more room to fight on, the small platforms have been increased slightly and there are even more platforms to fight on. Not only that but Metal Face shows up with his commentary and the fact that he's not annoying like the Yellow Devil is very welcoming. And of course thanks to the HD visuals and power of the Wii U, the stage REALLY personifies the vastness of Gaur Plains and the world of Xenoblade, which is fantastic! Did I mention how INCREDIBLE the music of this stage is!? Seriously, there's not a single song on that stage that I don't like listening to! Engage the Enemy, Gaur Plains day and night songs, Mechanical Rhythm, You Will Know Our Names, along with a surprise outside entry, The Valedictory Elegy from Baten Kaitos Origins, all of these songs are truly masterfully composed songs that make this stage even more epic. Not to mention, when I did 8 player Smash with my friends on this stage, we had an absolute blast! ^o^

2. Mario Galaxy: The gravity mechanics, the gorgeous visuals and the incredible music present from Galaxy 1 and 2 to Bowsers: Inside Story to The Wonderful 101, all of this makes this stage SO freaking amazing! I love everything about this stage and more. It's a fantastic representation of the Mario Galaxy series and it's incredibly fun to play on as well. Thank goodness this stage is available to play on normally during 8 player Smash! :)

3. Coliseum: As much as I enjoyed Arena Ferox, this stage trumps it thanks to it's bigger level design, beautiful background, more Fire Emblem music and the cool platform mechanics that was present in Arena Ferox. Like @ S.F.L.R_9 S.F.L.R_9 , most of my reasons for picking stages is because of the music and this stage is certainly no exception. The remixes are fantastic and the FE:A love with Conquest, Duty and Id Purpose is fantastic. The only thing that would have made this stage perfect is having Don't Speak Her Name! Oh well, it's still bloody good, even without it.

4. Kalos Pokemon League: While others complain about the stage hazards, I rather enjoy them to be perfectly honest. Keeps the stage more lively in my opinion. Not only that, but this stage does a great job representing the beauty and majesty of the Kalos Pokemon League with the changing of the rooms to various Elite Four chambers, to the stage hazards and effects that represent each room. Not only does the stage look downright gorgeous, but the music is something else entirely. Route 10 and Cynthia's Theme are simply masterpieces and are freaking beautiful to listen to! It's another favourite amongst my friends when doing 8 player Smash as well so that's a plus.

5. Palutena's Temple: Holy crap, this stage is awesome! When I had my 8 player Smash party at my house several days ago, this was one of the stages we kept coming back to. Not only is it perfect for large brawl's, but the music, OH MY NAGA, the music is heavenly! I'm a huge fan of KI:U so it should come to no surprise that the music is yet again another factor as to why I enjoy this stage so much. I don't frequent it as much due to not playing 8 player Smash all the time, but I do try to go to it via it's Omega form as much as possible, at least until I have another 8 player Smash party or have my family over for Christmas. Destroyed Skyworld is probably the best track in that stage as well. If you've played the game, you will understand the power behind the music within that song and how the remix perfectly encapsulates it!

Honorable mentions: Orbital Gate, Gamer, The Great Cave Offensive, Pilot-Wings, Mario Circuit, Skyloft, Wii Fit Studio, Pyrosphere, Wooly World, Boxing Ring, Windy Hill Zone, and Jungle Hijinxs.
Now for the characters! Don't worry, I'm just going to list the characters, not go into great detail like I did for the stages. :seuss:

Brawl:

1. Ike
2. Mario
3. Toon Link
4. Lucario
5. Pit

SSB4:

1. Robin (duh :awesome:)
2. Lucina
3. Shulk
4. Pit
5. Palutena

Yeah, I'm kind of the same, even if I do say I hate stage, most of the time it's only really 1 or 2 stages and even then, there are times were I love them X3

Even most of the stages I say I don't like I still don't mind playing on. Even 25m and Wily's Castle.

...Though I still try to avoid them.

I think the closest I came to a stage I truly hated was the Electroplankton stage. It's been a while, so maybe it's just my memory, but ugh. The Pictochat stages are annoying too, though I like the music. Pictochat 2 should be a dishonorable mention on the stage list I made, actually.

Anyone want to do a Top 5 with Brawl and Smash 4 newcomers?
Hmm, I'll try.
Here I go! :4robinf:
(All personal opinions obviously)

Brawl:
1. ZSS: An extremely unexpected yet well executed character who became my main along with Zelda in Brawl. Metroid is one of my favorite series, and it's a different experience for Samus to actually be playable out of her suit. I wish you could at least see her face through her visor when you play as regular Samus like in the Metroid Prime games, I don't believe it'd be too hard to program and it'd make her feel more true to character by seeing who she actually is.
(I can't really provide detailed descriptions about the following ones since I didn't play them but I still think they're pretty cool with their concept or whatever it is)
2. Pokemon Trainer
3. Snake
4. SANIC
5. Pit

Smash 4:
1. Shulk: From my favorite game ever and he's so fun and unique to play as.
2. Robin: A long time ago, maybe in 2012, I saw the original speculation thread for Robin and I was like "oh, cool, a Fire Emblem character that isn't blue haired with a sword!" but then I kinda forgot about him, but his reveal was so awesome and made me want to go play a FE game so bad. Now I can say FEA is my 2nd favorite game right behind Xenoblade!
3. Lucina: Saw her before I cared about FEA and got spoiled about who she is but I thought who she is was interesting yet I kinda forgot her...until the reveal trailer made me remember her and I was amazed she got in over Chrom. She also inspired me to play FEA. I actually bought it the day after her and Robin's trailer, hah.
4. Rosalina: Super cool mechanic and from an awesome game
5. Wii Fit Trainer: Yes, WFT. When she was first revealed two years ago my friend messaged me on facebook telling me about it and I didn't believe him. Then I saw it and... I got pissed off. "Waste of character slot! blah blah blah!" Now that I've gotten over that, she's so funny and actually is a good addition to represent the wide variety of games Nintendo has. She's also super fun to play as lol soccer ball spike makes your opponents sodium levels go sooo high And we can't forget, THE MEMESSSSSS.

Yeah, I'm kind of the same, even if I do say I hate stage, most of the time it's only really 1 or 2 stages and even then, there are times were I love them X3
Exactly! When I was playing with my friends on Flat Zone X and 75m, the only two stages I greatly dislike, I still had a lot of fun with them because of chaotic mayhem and nature of things. It also helps that every stage has an Omega form which is fantastic.

And for all the hate Mushroomy Kingdom gets, while I do dislike it, there is something about that I find charming. Also Rumble Falls OHKO spike .

Yup! Even those stages have charming or endearing qualities about them, despite me disliking them as well. I think it greatly helps when playing with friends who are just trying to have fun cause everything is out the window and having more chaos just adds to the enjoyment. ^_^

Similar story happened to me. I was looking around for images of Marth because Smash Bros. Crusade used DLC Marth's artwork, which I had never seen before. Well, I found it, and at the same time stumbled on Marth's wiki page that said something like,
"In Fire Emblem Awakening, Lucina disguises herself as Marth." To which I replied, "Who??"

Oh, I have come a long way.

I'll keep this fairly brief I guess.

Sm4sh:
1: Lucina. I was rooting for her to be in the game more than anyone else. Anyone else was just a bonus. I lost my nuts whilst watching the trailer.
2: Shulk. I was hoping for a representative from Xenoblade Chronicles and we have one. I've never actually played the game but I have for a while now.
3: Robin. Robin was a surprising bonus and he/she is very fun to play in the game.
4: Palutena. She's pretty cool and I enjoyed her humour in KI:U.
5: Little Mac

Brawl:
1: Snake
2: R.O.B.
3: Wario
4: Pit
5: Diddy Kong

They are, aren't they. Seriously I tried to fit this avatar in because of how much effort @[ & ] put into it
but it wouldn't fit :ohwell:. I wonder if Premium members get bigger sigs?
They do, I think.

I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't mind Mushroomy Kingdom. It's not a stage I love, but I don't hate it, either.

You think or you know?

The only reason I really hate Mushroomy Kingdom is because of how bland it is.

What are you talking about, I love Lv 9 Little Mac's (no joke). Though i HATE lv 9 Wario's, Diddy Kong's and Yoshi's :glare:.

Oh, sure. @ S Syrek can share cute mother/son images of Robin and Morgan, but when I run one as an avatar people call it oedipal.

I don't get it.
