this made me laugh a lot more than it should, thank you. I have no idea how you guys started talking about DK and Sonic games, but it was an...interesting turn of events, I guess.

Lucius, Priscilla and Tigger were all correct. Nobody has been right on the left Swordy yet, and the other two are the super secret bonus characters who aren't from Fire Emblem.

Trying to get those combo in training challenges done by using a ton of Smart Bombs and your character accidentally gets caught in the blast.

Wait, do you rush down mac, because I normal just wait for him to come to me. The thing is to me is that Robin doesn't have much trouble comboing little mac and Koing him, it's actually setting him up so that you can combo or ko him

Do you guys see working a element specific mage being viable in Smash? Like, a druid only using dark tome setups or a saint using light ones. Except for the latter that has no representation yet, Robin does a good enough job showcasing the magical abilities, so that might be a bit redundant for future smash bros although better than another blue haired swordman with a pretty face that happens to of royal blood

It really was, but I think it was still used because it was mixed in with other faulty ideas like the box art/advertisement/promotion arguments, where people said Robin couldn't promote the game as well as Chrom (which doesn't even make sense), and the "too many avatars" argument (as @ Mr. Johan pointed out), which was just as substantial as any other "too many" argument.

Really, most arguments against Robin were based on preconceived notions of how the roster was decided, most of which were easily disproved, inherent biases, and a general lack of knowledge on the matter.

I think there is plenty of potential for a single element specialist.

First off, one has to realize what makes magic into magic is literally making the impossible possible. Magic can be ANYTHING. Making steps of stone beneath your feet, trapping an enemy in ice, forming a bow and arrow from fire, there is literally nothing magic can't do.

Pair this with the fact that, yeah, Smash 4 actually has a lot of character concepts not explored, then you have yourself a deal. The fans have come up with plenty of cool play styles that have not been explored yet. The thing is, Robin's moveset, Nosferatu aside, could have been all one element if they wanted to. Arcfire could have been Arcwind, capturing the enemy in fierce gales. Thunder could have been Fire, doing much the same as it does now. So on and so forth.

I'm really glad that Robin is using multiple elemental spells from his series.

And also that he is primarily a thunder magic user.
