Looking back over the entire speculation period.. I can say it's been a fun, but long ride.

I remember posting for the first time on the Layton support thread... supporting Robin through thick and thin.. Greninja's reveal...

I'll miss it, that's for sure, but I'm also glad that It'll be over. Tomorrow, we'll shift into what Smash 4 is, instead of what is can be.

So how many people here like M!Robin over F!Robin, but don't see M!RobinxLucina as their OTP?

I rather like M!Robin (not as much as F!Robin though, but he's actually pretty close), but I've always liked the supports between him and Cordelia, and I'm starting to really like Lissa's supports with him. She and F!Morgan seem to have a lot in common, which is another reason why I think M!Robin and Lissa would make a great couple.

Also, Robin and Chrom get to be brother-in-laws. Gotta keep that bromance there.

Closing in to the game's release now. Some hours still for me to wait until EShop crash.

I tend to still feel bit stranger on being a "Post-Robin"-fan - As much as I was indifferent on FE-reps before (aside from being silect supporter of Chrom). I guess that salty thing about being proven wrong hard can still come back now and then.

On the flipside, I tend to see Robin as a nice legacy gift for me on becoming an FE-fan during these years - something that genuinely warms my heart when thinking it that way.
It's strange how it's another of those series I found amazing and regretting not giving a chance because I had exaggarated expectations about it.

Chrom should have been Vader IMO. as Luke, Inigo as Leia, as Han, Grima! as the Emporer, and Black Face Gauis as Lando.

Forget what I said about Sully or Lucina as Leia. This is perfect.

Anyway, I've only done one full run, so I can't say what I prefer to do. I did pair with Chrom, and Lucina's a tank and Morgan is getting there. I have no comparison for the others, though. I definitely want to do another run with someone else, but I'm not sure who yet.

I'm doing a run now, but I'm still not sure who I see him with. I'm debating on going with Sumia or Lucina, or possibly someone else if it hits me. I like having two kids, but I also like a lot of the characters who only have Morgan (especially with who can only have two with Chrom). I also have a soft spot for the pairings that add different dialogue to the story, like x Lucina or Chrom x . I wish Robin's spouse played a bigger role in the story no matter who it was, but I guess it's hard since some of the options come in very late.

Probably that video, because it got me to check out Awakening and love Robin. I missed the bulk of the speculation.

1. The day where #MonadoMonday was justified on August 29 when Shulk got confirmed. I guess you can call it #MonadoMorning or #ForeseeableFriday.
2. The moment where Robin got confirmed. The timing was perfect too since I was just replaying Awakening when it happened.

Robin's confirmation, most definitely. Probably the only time during all of speculation that I felt genuinely overjoyed, because I was close to giving up on Robin at that point.

Even though I continued to participate in the thread when it seemed that she was unlikely to be playable, I still liked coming here because of all the people that I've met on this site.

The best singular moment- Elwind. I was already freaking out when Lucina was revealed. I was jumping up and down shouting (I hurt my foot in the process...) since I was home alone. I didn't care if she was a clone, I didn't care that I thought that Chrom was a better choice- I was just happy that one of my favorite video game characters made the cut. I kept expecting for Chrom to stand up and defend her from Falcon at some point, but then the Elwind crashed down and that was it. I collapsed onto my couch and lay there in shock during the rest of the trailer. I knew that it had to be Robin from the Elwind and seeing him finally after months of pining for him was intense.

The funny thing is that not only did Robin steal Chrom's slot and daughter, but he also stole Chrom's reassuring of Lucina.

I was expecting Shulk that day and had resigned myself to accepting him even though I knew nothing about Xenoblade. I apathetically was setting up a back-up laptop just in case my Wii U didn't play the video right, coming to grips with the fact that Gematsu might be right (I've always been a non-believer) when the Falchion sliced across the screen on my TV and I ran over to my couch.

Robin is tricky to master. When picked up for the first time, if you have any idea what he's about, you'll find that you'll have a good time with him since he hits hard and has spells. However, beyond that, what do you do then?

Robin's nuances are peculiar, but after using him for about three weeks, I'm starting to reap the benefits of sticking with him. Whereas I initially felt discouraged since I couldn't use him as well as I could use Dark Pit and Lucina, suddenly he's the character that feels the most natural. His tomes and Levin Sword can run out and be a problem at times, but when you realize that you can both catch them and make up for their disappearance by using other moves, Robin really starts to shine. I guess that whoever was playing when they made that tier list didn't stick with Robin long enough, but I'm sure people will come around.

I'm a pretty big fan of the initial unveiling of the existence of a plan to make two new Smash Bros. all the way back from 2011.

The moment that started it all...we knew absolutely nothing other than than the plan to make two versions and that they would "connect" in some way, but, dang, that announcement was really exciting regardless.
